I stay awake in hopes that
you would light up
the lock screen of my phone
just as bright as
the smile that breaks
the surface of my lips
when you permeate my heart
with your natural charisma
and dandelion touch.
I fall asleep in hopes that
you would be the star of my dreams
that you will
kiss me as feverishly as
you do when you make
music with your mouth and fingers
and as passionately as
you talk about the world's unknown
when the world should instead
know you.
