Chapter 14

Nick had slept over again. To think I used to hate him.

My life was turning around. The guy I used to hate, sleeping over, helping me care for my baby. I had to pinch myself to wrap my head around it.

"Hey princess, I'm gonna take G for a walk, you gonna come?"

I pulled a cardigan over my pyjamas and tiredly got myself out of my bed. Bird nest hair and all.

I grabbed a scrunchie and messily tied my hair into a bun and chucked on some flats.

I jogged down to the door, where nick was ready with Giselle all dressed and ready in her pram.

I swear he is in love with my baby.

We walked into the fresh morning air, making sure to lock the door behind us.

No one spoke for a solid 5 minutes of the start of our walk.

"Where are we gonna walk to jackass?"

"You'll have to wait and find out princess" he replied sending me a wink featuring his signature smirk.

I rolled my eyes, cocky ass.

After 20 minutes of walking and me continuously asking whether we were there yet, Nick turned into a little street cafe which I never knew existed until now.

It was colored with white walls and one beige feature wall. There was artworks and photographs hanging on a feature wall, and multiple little tables with a candle and greenery as the centerpiece.

I gasped at the beauty of this place, so small and hidden yet grand in a street style way. I instantly fell in love with the look of this place.

We sat at a little table in the corner. I was directly across from nick with G on the side.

"Good Morning Nick" some girls voice says from beside us. I look towards her and she was beautiful. Small petite face, bright green eyes, and she only had minimal makeup on.

I will admit, I was getting jealous and protective about nick.

"Hey Em, this is Blair"

"Omg it's so lovely to finally meet you blair"

Nicks cheeks heated up a little, I was triggered.

"What can I get for you two today" she looked between us both and held her gaze on Nick.

"I want a stack of waffles please and ice cream on top with sprinkles and for a drink I'd like a chocolate thickshake" she giggled a little and write it down. Was that giggle meant to get Nicks attention? Ha no sucker, he was staring straight at me a faint grin attached to his face.

I smiled sweetly at her as she averted her gaze to nick.

"I'll have a stack of pancakes add chocolate syrup, I'd like a vanilla thickshake for the drink and also I would like the usual dessert with that"

"Anything for our best customer" she laughed and stuck her tongue out at Nick. How dare she.

Nick was looking at me amused.

"Hey babe, why are you glaring the waitress?" He raised his eyebrows.

"No reason" he smirked as I rolled my eyes.

After a few short minutes the brunette butthole returned with all our food placing it on our table. Before squeaky out a enjoy and leaving.

I licked my lips, without processing and Nick stared at me hungrily, at least I wasn't the only one starving cause this food looked amazing.

I took one bite of my waffles and groaned unintentionally. My eyes widen as I realize what I did.

Nick still stares at me

"That was fucking hot princess" he murmurs.

My cheeks turn a bright red as I look down and enjoy my food and milkshake.

There was lots of small talk about little subjects like school, and G and the cafe decorations.

As Nick went to the counter to pay, I grabbed out a wipe and wiped the icecream that Nick fed her off her face. He is naughty.

She giggled at me and my heart literally melted.

Nick returned and we headed out the door.

"Bye Em" he shouted as he waved over his shoulder.

"Bye Hun" was her reply. "Was nice meeting you Blair" she smiled. I asked a smile back.

We turned the corner away from the cafe and Nick turned me around to face him, "what was all that saltiness for"

"She looked at you in a loving way" I said shyly, looking down.

I then heard a big booming laugh come from his mouth.

He lifted my chin up with his finger. "You were so jealous babe" he laughed.

I looked away, trying to hide the blush creeping into my cheeks. Nick grabbed my face with both of his hands and made me look at him. My skin tingled from his touch.

"She is just my cousin princess"

My jaw dropped and I hit nick on the arm, damn his arms were ripped. His hands still holding each of my cheeks, he started to lean in, I started to lean in, waiting for our lips to meet.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHH" cried Giselle as Nicks warm breath started to hit my face. His breath smelt minty even though we just ate heaps.

I grab G and rock head back and forth while bouncing, and patting her bottom at the same time. After she started to settle down, I look up back at Nick, only to see him staring straight back at me and smiling, a genuine smile.

"Now where were we..." were the next words to lead his mouth.
