My heart thumped in my chest loudly, so loud that I bet everyone inside the hospital could hear it.

I got a call from the doctors.

"She's awake."

I took multiple deep breaths as the door to my mother's room opened. The doctors greeted me.

"Look for yourself." They unblocked the door, revealing my mother laying on top of the bed.

The face that I thought I'd never see awake again.

Her eyes were open, and she was smiling at me with the widest grin I've seen from her in my entire life. She was glowing, like she became an angel and went back down to earth.

"M-mom..." I choked out. And ran to her, tears already flowing out of my eyes.

"I'm back, honey." She said and welcomed me into her arms. "I told you."

I savored the warmth of the hug, like I'd never get to hug her ever again. "I-I knew I'd get to see you again."

"Me too, honey." She pulled back and wiped my tears. "I'm so proud of you."

I started to cry even harder. "I didn't debut..."

"I don't care about that." She laughed. "You made it so far. I'm so proud of you."

"Thank you mom." I whispered. "Thank you so much."

"What are you thanking me for? I just watched you, you did all of that yourself. Now stop crying!"

"I-I c-can't...I thought you were gone! I'm so sorry mom, I'm sorry for the times we fought because of me, I'm sorry if I forgot to call you, I'm sorry--"

"Aigoo...never once in my life have I hated you for any of that. I would never."

"I love you mom." I sobbed. "Thank you for being by my side."

"I love you too sweetie." She muttered, smoothing out my hair. "You don't know how proud of you I am. My little Jihyun has really made it this far, hasn't she?"

I smiled and nodded. "Only because you always supported me."

My mom chuckled, and then pulled back to look at my face once again. "On another note sweetie...."

"Who is this Jinyoung boy I keep hearing about?"
