Sniggers rose around the room.
Shadow looked down at her feet
A boy with curly brown hair sitting behind her whispered in her ear
"Yo you know that you're stuck sitting next to screwball for the rest of the semester"
Shadow looked across at the girl seated to her left, the girls dark green eyes were focused on an unflattering caricature of the teacher, with screw you Mr James written underneath.
A figure loomed over the girl.
"Miss Lorelei, I appreciate your artistic skills but this isn't what we're doing so" Mr James handed Lorelei a detention slip.
Lorelei took the piece of paper, scrunched it up and ate it.
The boy leaned forward again.
"Told you so" he whispered
