Unborn Child

Zero's POV

Walking out of the building, I stood in front of the main entrance and kept my hands in my pockets. 

"So, you're the body guard?" A voice asked from the forest, echoing off of the trees and making me sigh.

"What do you want?" I snapped, glaring at the aristocrat that came out of the shadows and pointing my bloody rose at it. 

"It appears that Lady (Y/N) is with child." He said, chuckling and attacking me. 

"Tch." 

"The senate wants that child!" He yelled, as I blocked his attack and pushed him away from the building. 

"Stay the hell away from her!" I growled, baring my fangs and pushing him farther back into the forest until one of his blows hit me. 

"Why aren't you going for the killing blow?" (Y/N)'s voice shouted from behind me, the vampire in front of me looked shocked and he said,

"My Lady-" (Y/N) merely glared at him and turned him to dust, saying nothing. The headmaster soon came running after us and he panted, saying,

"(Y/N)! Don't just run off like that." 

"Sorry. Zero seemed like he needed some help." (Y/N) answered, smirking at me and winking. Sighing, he wrapped his arms around her and I walked off, so that they could talk.

Kaien's POV

Wrapping my arms around her, I sighed and waited until Zero was out of earshot, before I asked,

"He was after our child...Wasn't he?" 

"Yes, he was." She replied, placing her hands on mine and leaning her head back, against my shoulder. 

"The senate seems to have taken a special interest in us." She continued, turning to face me and wrapping her arms around my neck, nuzzling her face into the crook of my neck. 

"Hm. What else is new? The association should be here soon as well. They normally go hand in hand." I commented, resting my forehead against her own and sighing, then inhaling her scent. 

"Yes, they like to attack us at the same time." (Y/N) replied, humming and smiling at me, knowingly. 

"Where's Mason?" I asked, looking around the forest and searching for the demon that she employed. She shrugged and I moved to caress her face, gently. 

"He's probably sitting at home...Tch, I'm gonna kill him." I mumbled, then I pressed my lips to her own and running a thumb across her cheek, gently. 

'She's so soft, even to the touch.' I thought, pulling her closer to me with my other hand and running my tongue along her bottom lip. The request seemed to shock her, but she accepted and I smiled against her mouth. 

"Mmph." (Y/N) made a noise and I pulled away from her, saying,

"Such a cute noise." 

"Shut up, Kaien!" (Y/N) shouted, her face turning a crimson color and she went to cover her face, pouting. Smiling, I pinned her to one of the trees and grabbing one of her wrists, I pulled her hands away from her face as I said,

"Why're you blushing?" 

"You embarrass me." She replied, her eyes locking with mine and her hands going to caress my face. Smirking, I leaned down to her face and whispered, against her lips,

"That so?" 

"Kaien..." She breathed, pulling me against her and kissing me, roughly. One of my hands rested on the small of her back and the other rested against one of her hips, bringing her closer to me. Like before, I licked her bottom lip and she accepted me into her mouth, this time she tried to fight with me for dominance. 

"Enough playing." I growled, grabbing her chin between my thumb and pointer-finger, continuing,

"Enough teasing." I paused, taking in her expression and resting my head in the crook of her neck, finishing,

"I want you..to have and to hold. Forever." The statement seemed to shock her and she ran her hands through my hair, taking it down. Her expression became soft and tears fell out of her eyes, shocking me.

"(Y/N)?" I asked, concern filling my entire being and she wiped her eyes, saying,

"Damn hormones. This child is making me all out of sorts." Sighing, she turned her face away from me and I looked down at her, saying,

"That child is going to be a vampire...Isn't it?" 

"Hm. Does that bother you?" She inquired, glancing at me and I shook my head, replying,

"Not at all. But I fear that the association will try to hunt it down." 

"Over my dead body." A voice said from behind us, catching our attention and making me take a step back from my fiancee. Mason was sitting in a tree and Yagari was leaning against the same tree, as he added,

"Mine too. After all, that child will be my godchild, hm." (Y/N) chuckled and walked over to him, poking him in the chest as she answered,

"Don't go assuming things like that, Toga Yagari." Mason chuckled and jumped from the tree, saying,

"My lady, I-" However, before he could get it out, she slapped him and her fingernails cut his cheek.
