~Normal P.o.v~

"Lucy! Stop!" Natsu's voice rings out in the dark cave.

"It's the only way, Natsu!" Lucy yells, taking out all twelve keys of the Zodiac.

"YOU'RE GOING TO DIE!" Natsu roars, running full speed towards her.

"If that's what has to be done, t-then so be it!" Lucy yells powerfully, before summoning all twelve keys.

"LUCYYY! STOP!"

"GATE OF THE TWELVE ZODIAC SPIRITS UNITE, SHINE AND BE BRIGHT, WIPE THE EVIL AWAY FROM ANY SIGHT!" Lucy calls, clenching her hands into balls of fists.

"LUCYYYYYYYYY!!!!" Natsu growls as flames surround him.

"GO, GATE OF THE SHINING STAR, LUMINOUS!" Lucy enchants once more.

A bright yellow, magic circle envelops her as her body floats in the magic. An illusion of the maiden of the stars reveals behind her as Lucy opens her eyes.

In a trance-like voice, she whispered, "Be gone, evil spirits, and return to the depths of hell..."

Once the dark guild screeches in agony and is dragged under, Lucy collapses on the spot.

"LU-"

Natsu widens his eyes at the sight. Her arms and limbs were limp and full with scars and scratches. Her right leg was twisted in a weird way, and her face, that was once full with happiness, now filled with... death.

"L-Luce?" Natsu places his knee on he ground and picks her up, bridal style.

"N-Natsu?" a small whisper perks the salamander.

"Lucy! Stay with me okay? I have to get you to Wendy and she can-"

"It's okay Natsu, don't be sad, h-hey we finally defeated them, huh?" Lucy interrupts.

Natsu smiles sadly.

"Like hell, I did anything. It was you who saved us in the end," Natsu says, tears in his flaming eyes.

"There, I love that smile... That's the last thing I wanted to see before I die," Lucy, says, smiling.

Natsu clutches her tighter.

"You're not dying, Luce. I'll get you to Wendy-"

"It'll be too late... I'm already leaving anyway, I don't want to become a burden." Lucy giggles, spitting out some blood.

"Don't say that!" Natsu growls.

"A-Aw, you're mad? Gomei, Natsu.... Oh, and say thanks for everything for me to everyone in the guild, okay?" Lucy whispers, her life aura fading away.

"Stop it, Lucy!" Natsu runs faster, heaving.

His own injuries were giving him amounts of pain but he ran faster for the sake of Lucy, his Nakama.

"Show me that smile again..." Lucy chokes out, her eyes closed.

Natsu stops and looks down on Lucy. He strains to give the normal smile that he always had.

"There, keep that smile even when I die, okay, Natsu?" Lucy whispers, as her body goes limp.

"L-Lucy? LUCY? LUCY?!" Natsu shakes her, tears falling down his scraped face.
