That is the label of someone you have encountered in life and choose to give them a chance to hold your hurt.
It may have been a "fling" or just a "hookup". But then again.. it could have been something serious. Something worth staying. But they broke your hurt.. or you broke theirs.. It's always the same though. They end up texting you at some point. Maybe you moved on and they wanted to tell you they hopped you were happy or maybe they wanted to tell you they missed you. They think it's harmless to just shot you a text at random. But it fucks you up. You'll think about them now. Wondering if your on their mind or why the hell their on yours. Because if you loved them, they hard to forget.
