Theodore Nott, with a Death Eater father and a best friend who doesn't understand his feelings, wishes nothing more than his last year at Hogwarts to be over so that he can leave home and experience the niceties of life.
The Universe seems to have other plans for him, however, for his school is taken over by nasty, abusive teachers, leaving him to experience the longest year of his life. His best friend fails to understand why he isn't enjoying his current situation. To add the cherry on top, Theo starts having strange, pain-in-the-gut feelings for said best friend.
