I've finished the doll sized prototype. The only things I got wrong were the pleats were to widespread and I needed to over messer on the back panels a little bit more. The pleats were a problem only because the dress is just so small I couldn't make them tiny enough. As for the back panels I will take that into consideration for the next time. The other problems I had with the dress were all just problems with its being so small. The skirt doesn't weigh it's self down enough and it was hard to work with some of the more tedious seams. The fittings are inexact because my pins are the same length as her torso and my needle is even longer because I didn't dare use the machine. But here is the turn out. I used bright blue thread to remember all the places I had to stitch, so don't mind that.
Here are all the pictures from the process. I'm posting this not only to keep highqualitytrashcan posted, but also in case any more knowledgeable seamstresses would like to comment.
