Now I know, even after the darkness. To me, you are the morning, you woke me up

He's surprisingly nervous, considering this isn't his first time performing on stage.
Namjoon had given him a funny look the minute he walked into the waiting room, because it wasn't every day that he got to see Yoongi look like he was on the verge of freaking out right before a performance.
"Do you have stage fright or what?" Namjoon asks causally.
"Nah, his girl's here tonight, that's why," Hoseok interrupts with a stupid smile on his face that Yoongi wants to smack right off.
"Shut up," he says instead, though his hands don't stop trembling.
Hoseok ignores the insult and continues. "I saw her on the way in, she's pretty cute," he compliments, and Yoongi grunts.
"Well too bad she's taken," he retorts jealously, despite knowing Hoseok didn't mean it that way.
"Chill bro, I'm not so stupid. I still want to live you know?" Hoseok jokes, making Namjoon laugh in the background. Yoongi sulks in his chair.
He really needs to kick that overprotective habit of his down a notch, especially when he's with his friends so he doesn't embarrass himself repeatedly in front of them.
They've gathered tonight for the showcase of Hoseok's mixtape that he'd helped work on, and though he'd initially declined his friend's request to share the stage with him, Chaeyoung had convinced him to agree with the reason being she'd never been to any of his showcases before and it was her wish to see him perform live.
So he told Hoseok he'd do it, despite only featuring on one of his tracks this time round, because he'd never found it in himself to say no to Chaeyoung, especially when she'd asked so fucking prettily and nicely underneath him in bed last night.
Her legs had draped so smoothly around his waist when she gazed up at him that he felt himself getting harder while inside her, hips snapping up as though he lost control for a moment because she sealed the deal with the promise of sucking him off in the waiting room if he agreed to do the showcase.
"Five minutes!" the soundcheck guy shouts and he snaps out of it before he can pop a boner.
"Hyung, don't faint on stage alright?" Hoseok teases, and Yoongi swears it's the last straw before getting out of his chair as the younger cackles and makes a run for it.
He doesn't faint on stage, thank god, and lets the beat of the track soak in until it's his part and he's spitting verses like it was the only thing he knew how to do since he was born. He doesn't mess up on his lyrics thankfully and when his part finally ends for Namjoon to take over, he helps hype up the crowd, feeding on their energy until he unintentionally makes eye contact with her.
He knows this side of him as a performer is one she's never seen before, but he doesn't think it should make much of a difference since it's just another side of himself, though the way Chaeyoung's eyes light up with so much pride and admiration when she's watching him seems to tell him the exact opposite, and it makes him nearly trip over his feet.
He recovers quickly before making his way back to the centre stage to join his friends in the last verse, trying his best not to look distracted. But Hoseok can tell right away, and he's sure Namjoon can as well so he doesn't bother hiding it anymore, because it bugs him to the bone why it took so damn long for him to realize that she was more than capable of loving every other side of him when she's always been doing that right from the start.
