Goodbye America

Jacks POV
I had been awake for hours after I had made my decision, packing bags with all of my family's belongings. I sat in the living room surrounded by mounds Of luggage. The idea of leaving America and moving to Paris circled my mind, I still hadn't announced it to Rose. What if she did not approve of the idea of getting on another ship and moving. We had recently survived the sinking of the Titanic, the battle with the Atlantic, the undefeated and mainly the unsinkable.
I waited until the handle on the clock landed the time as 4:30am to wake Rose and tell her about my plan. I made my way to the bedroom in which my eyes landed on Rose's fragile, elegant body, laying so peacefully in a wondrous world of slumber, that I wish I did not have to disturb her from with such heart breaking news. I shook her Gently, she awoke and turned to face me "Jack, why are you up so early? And waking me up too?" I took a deep breath in and began to speak "Rose, I know this will be a lot to take in but you have to trust me with it" Rose's enlightened smile began to fade into a worried blur as I said this "I have an idea, so that we can escape Cal and there is no way that he can get to us. I have packed all our things...." Rose stopped me and said in an angered tone "Jack what the hell do you mean you've packed all our things!?" I took another deep breath "Rose, you know that aboard Titanic that I told you I used to live in Paris, well I think that it is the perfect place for us to go. It's beautiful. The people there are so nice and there is no way Cal can find us unless he asks Julie or Annie!" Rose sat there for a minute and furrowed her brow "so your being serious? This isn't some joke or anything, you really want to go to Paris don't you" I took a light hold of Roses hands and said "yes Rose i do, this will give us a better life, it's no Cal or your mother getting in the way. Please Rose, you have to trust me on this" I could see tears brimming in her eyes, I felt so uneasy. Was she going to agree or not? She had been sat silently for several seconds.... Relief flew over me as Rose threw herself at me crying out "Yes Jack, I trust you! We will go to Paris and start a new life away from anyone that wants to get in out way!" I cried too, it reminded me of the night of the sinking when we hugged so tightly before the lifeboat lowered her down and we thought that we would never once lock eyes again.
Then it dawned on me, I still hadn't told Rose that we were going to have to board another ship to get across to Paris, I had to tell her, I had arranged for Julie to come pick us up at 5:00am to take us to the docking site for 6am.....
As we released ourselves from one another I began to speak, "Rose, there is something else I need to tell you" she had that worried look on her face again "what! What's the matter?" She looked more panicked now, I could tell that she would not handle it well. "Well, the only way that we can get to Paris is by ship, now I know your going to feel nervous but it'll be ok, the ship has enough lifeboats installed if the ship does happen to sink, but this is very unlikely after Titanic. It will be alright Rose, we can stick together, we will stick together Rose. Trust me, again the ship will not sink" Rose looked up at me and wiped away the excess tears that were rolling down her porcelain cheeks, she laughed and tucked her hair behind her ear, "Jack, you're the only person in the world that I can trust, the only one that understands me naturally, therefore I will go on that ship, with courage and pride, knowing that I have the best family n the world!" I laughed, I was glad to know that she wasn't screaming and shouting like most women would, but she was Turing everything that she thought was negative into a positive, that's one of the many things I love about her.
I grabbed her by the waist and lifted her up high in the air and kissed her, it felt like hours yet seconds of our love for each other being entwined to make one. She held the back of my head and pulled me in closer as time went on, as did the passion that was put in. She began to remove my jacket as I did her night gown, but then I realised that Julie and Annie were due to arrive any minute and Rose was not even close to dressed! So I pulled away quickly, Rose's dress was already on the floor and I was wearing nothing but trousers, I said to her "Rose, I think we better get changed actually, I just remembered that Julie is due any minute to pick us up" Rose smiled "Ok darling" she said as she kissed my cheek and walked off to get the one thing that was not packed in one of the bags, her lavender dress. I had left it out purposely as I knew it was her favourite.
Rose pulled it on and over her head, I wandered towards her to help her out, when her head was fully through I had her hand one more time and said "We will finish what we started, on the ship later when Kate is sleeping" she looked at me with another one of her many flattering looks and said "I hope so" we both laughed. Then We heard the door bell ring.

Roses POV
I finished coming my hair, fastening my shoes onto my feet, sending Kate back to sleep and saying goodbye to the house, as Jack loaded the bags into the car. It saddened me to think that the first house that I had owned with Jack would just be left there to be enclosed by a growing forest, never owned again.

I took my last step out of the house and said a little goodbye to it as Jack sat in the car waiting, I got Kate's hand and gave it a little wave and said "goodbye house" in my baby voice. Jack heard me and laughed, "come on baby, we have to leave now" I wandered back down the path one last time and jumped in the back of the car with Jack. Julie started up the engine and said "are we all ready to go?" Jack replied with a "yes" and we began to travel down the road. Jack could tell that I was upset to leave the house unoccupied for ever more, as he looked at me, then I looked at him and he kissed me, he started to pull me in like we had one earlier but we heard Annie cough purposely and we both looked up at her "You know there's a little girl right in the middle of that!" Said Annie
I said back "oh it doesn't matter she can't see anything! She's asleep" Annie laughed and so did Jack, as I looked down to find that Kate was in fact awake and giving me the most beautiful smile a baby could give, so she had seen everything!
It took us a fair amount of time to reach the docks and when we did Julie pulled up for us to get out "Jack, Rose, me and Annie wish you both the best of luck in Paris and we will deeply miss you" Jack thanked them and got out, I passed Kate to Jack whom was waiting outside and I hugged both Julie and Annie, then thanked them for everything they had ever done for us.
We waved goodbye has they drove off, pipping their horn as they drove further and further down the street. I looked at Jack and said "I'm really going to miss them two, they were a nice pair" tears brimmed in my eyes as they usually do when I talk about something that is personally saddening to me.
Jack wrapped his arms around me and we began to walk closer to the docks and he said to me "me too Rose, your not the only one" he smiled at me and I smiled back......

Jack got out our tickets as we lined up to board the ship, it was a bit smaller than the Titanic , but I could already tell by looking at it that it had many more than she did, I felt more safe boarding the ship, knowing that there is enough lifeboats for everyone.
"Tickets please" said the steward stood at the door, Jack passed him our boarding tickets and we stepped inside. That was it. There was no going back now, me and Jack had left America to go to France to began a new life, without evil.
We stood on the top deck of the ship waving goodbye to what we would have once called our home, but is now just a country. The ship set off, back across the Atlantic, where Titanic had met its fate......
