Valentina sat next to Renessmee in the tent they had set up for the hybrid. In the short time they had known each other they had formed a very strong bond.

Renessmee had her head in her Aunts lap as she stroked her fingers through her soft curly hair.

"I have something for you." Her Aunts soft, melodic voice broke the silence in the tent. Renessmee turned to look at her Aunt who reached beside her to grab a thick book and as Renessmee nestled in her side she opened showing the first picture. It was of Edward being held by Valentina with Damon looking over her shoulder and Stefan seated tightly at her side looking down at the small bundle.

"What is this?"

Valentina sighed. Memories hitting her at full force. Bad and Good.

"It's a scrapbook of your Fathers biological family. When we were human."

Renessmee was fascinated at this book. She had asked her Dad all about his family and what they were like he told her what he could but he was at a loss of what to do when she asked for pictures.

Renessmee giggled when she saw a picture of her Dad sitting with a ridiculous outfit on and an angry frown in his chubby face.

"He was about Nine months old here. It took a whole hour to get him in it. He was fussing so much. And no matter how hard we tried he wouldn't go into it. We had someone hold him down while we put everything on him. It was truly memorable."

The next picture was of Valentina and Edward petting a Black Stallion. It was Valentina's horse that she had received as a birthday gift from Damon on her Twentieth birthday. A five year old Edward had a huge smile on his face as did Valentina.

The next picture Edward has a huge cheesy smile on his face and he was Nine years old in this picture. It had been his first photo after he was allowed to pick out what he was wearing to school and he had been so excited.

Renessmee was giggling up a storm at the picture from his first birthday. He had his mouth open trying to shovel as much cake as he could fit with his other hand clenched around Damons nose, smearing chocolate cake all over his face as he watched Edward with a repulsed expression.

The duo were still flipping through pictures when Bella crouched down at the mouth of the tent smiling at the scene of the Aunt/Niece bonding moment.

"Time for bed."
Renessmee glanced over at her mother before latching into Valentina as she tried to get Renessmee to move.

"No! Just a little longer." Renessmee pleaded with her mother, trying desperately to hold on to this moment.

"It's okay, Little Dove." Valentina said calling her the nickname she had gave the girl. She handed the book to Renessmee. "Here. Keep it."

Renessmee took it in her hands looking down at it with a fondness before glancing at her Aunt.

"Love you, Aunt Tina."
Valentina kissed her forehead.
"Love you too, Little Dove."

Valentina exited the tent and glanced at Bella as she stood up and looked at her sister in law.
"You didn't have to do that."
Valentina smiled at the girl.
"Yes I did. Besides she might need something to remember us. And on top of that I made plenty of copies."
Bella chuckled.
"Thank you." She said sincerely. "For everything."
"Thank you for calling."

The two embraced each other in a hug before Bella retreated to the tent and Valentina made her way to stand beside Damon who wrapped an arm around his sister as she laid her head in his shoulder.

The Romanians were deep in war stories so she went unnoticed at her late arrival.

The Salvatore Twins made their way through LA hunting for food in the early hours of the morning several hours before the battle. Valentina saw a group of men in the alleyway. She smirked with delight, kicking the trash can beside her letting it echo throughout the alley. The group glanced that way as a piece of metal clanked against the ground. Valentina hid in the shadows going unnoticed as a member of the group ventures down that way with a knife in hand. He turned, only to get shoved against the wall, screaming as a pair of sharp fangs imbedded the jugular of the young mans neck. His piercing scream alerted his companions who all split up going different ways as Valentina dropped the man to the ground throwing him into the dumpster beside her and rushed to the left halting in front of the three men that had been apart of the group.

Valentina reached out and grabbed a mans neck draining it as the other two screamed, running away and tripping over their own feet and scrambling to get back up.

She rushed after them grabbing both necks squeezing one to make him pass out as the other was held up against the wall getting his throat ripped out as he dropped to the floor, dead as a doornail, Valentina ripped out the throat of the third one and drained him of every last drop. She picked them up and rushed to throw them in the dumpster where the first victim was held.

She scaled the wall of the alley and raced across rooftops to find the fifth and final victim that had slowed about a mile away from where he ditched his friends. The man panted in relief at the sight of nothing following him.

He turned around just as a figure clad in black from head to toe jumped down from a roof to in front him. He jumped and Valentina heard his heartbeat skyrocket as he poked at the blood drenching her front.

He held his hands up in a pathetic excuse of surrender.
"Please don't hurt me."

Valentina simply chuckled.
"Okay. I won't hurt you."
The man sighed in relief, failing to notice another figure clad in black sneaking his way behind him. He let out a shrill scream of pain as he was but from behind.
"No guarantees about him though."

Damon dropped the body looking at his twin who had blood all down her front though he wasn't in much better condition.
"Ready to go?"
She nodded as he dropped the body with the others that was Valentina's and Damon's victims of the night. In total there were ten.

Valentina grabbed a bottle of alcohol that was left abandoned from the group and dumped it all over the bodies before Damon produced a lighter and lit the bastards up.

The Salvatore's walked away from the flaming dumpster in a cocky manner as a true Salvatore should.

"Ten victims killed in a massacre late last night and early this morning. Can they catch the killers of this tragedy before they strike again?" Was all that was heard the next morning in Sunny Los Angeles, California.
