a once hopeful song now tragic

i heard a song on the radio today.
the sweet lyrics should've made me recall all of our good times—the times so high i would've never thought we'd come crashing down.
each time the chorus chanted:
"two! three! hoping for more good days"
my heart weeped with a little more bitter than sweet.
