I Groaned as my clock went on. Who wouldnt, right? Everyone hates getting up. Its very probably the part of the day i hated the most, morning. I dont know why i always put my alarm on in the morning, i had nowhere to be. Its probably to make me feel normal or something. My parents were rich and paid everything for me so i never had to work, just stay home. So every morning i would get up early, dress well, and go walk around town. It was a routine now and i liked it. Normal people had a routine.

I closed my alarm off as i sat up in my bed. I brought my hands up to my face and tried rubbing off the sleep. I then looked around my plain white bedroom. I hated how it was so plain. Normal people paint their room with their favorite colour. My room was just white. The head of my grey metal bed structure leaned in the middle of the farthest wall from the door. My bed sheets were also grey, just plain grey.

I got up and slowly walked to my closet. I looked through my cloth and decided on black dress pants and a white button up shirt. I then proceeded on walking in the bathroom to do my hair. I squeezed some gel in my hand and pushed my hair back. I was always too lazy to do anything else with it so i settled on the pushed back style. Normal people are lazy.

I then walked in my kitchen. I went to one of my many grey cabinets and grabbed a muffin i bought yesterday but didn't have the time to eat. I grabbed my wallet off the counter with my keys. I made sure i had everything one last time before walking out my front door. I bearly closed my door that i heard a voice address me.

"Liam honey, how are you today?" I turned my head to look at an elderly women smiling at me. She wasnt all that old, the age of my parents. She had been my neighbor for about six years now. I tried to be like a normal person and be annoyed on the inside but glad on the outside. "Im great mrs. Cook, how are you?"

"Same here. I have someone i would like you to meet, my friends daughter. Why dont you come over for dinner tonight?" I let out a sigh as i shook my head. She has been trying to hook me up with people for over a year now and it was pretty annoying.

" im sorry but i cant, im busy tonight." Lie. She frowned but nodded. "Another time then?" She asked and i nodded. I then left. I walked down many streets like i did everyday. I passed many business men on the streets like i did everyday. When i came across a street named cathrines i decided to turn on it. I learned to know that normal people like to do something different sometimes and this was my something different.

The street was made in large rocks like they used to be years ago. It wasnt very wide and people walked on it instead of the small side walks on each side. I decided to do the same as all these normal people and walked in the small street. Everything seemed to look old. Gift stores everywhere filled with new things while the building was old. Every building was old except one. A new looking Starbucks sat on my right. I decided to go in it since it was the only thing that looked normal here.

I walked in and got a french cappuccino. I then decided to sit down by the window. Not many people were in here except for a few students that went to the college down the street. I frowned as i wondered what they were doing here on a thursday morning. I brought up my arm to look at my watch and noticed it was eleven in the morning, must be an early lunch.

I slumped down in my chair and looked around at all the students chatting together with only one boy who sat alone in a corner staring down at his coffee. Every once and a while he would look out the window behind me. At one point i guess i became curious about what he kept glancing at and decided to take a look. Across the street sat a little coffee shop that looked older then the street itself. It had big windows in the front that gave the whole view inside. Red wooden letters hung above the windows that read 'lava java'. It looked very simple, nothing caught my eye so i didnt understand why that boy found it so interesting. When i looked back through the window i saw that the shop only had one client that sat by the window. I looked closer and more i looked, more i lost my breath. A young girl with light brown hair that was tied up in a pony tail sat there. She wore a pair of blue washed jeans and a grey t-shirt. She had these big white head phones covering her ears as her phone sat down on the small red table in front of her. She held a blue covered book in her hands as her blue eyes scanned the pages. She would take a sip from the small white cup sitting in front of her every once and a while. I kept starring at her, just admiring her. I didnt know why, i just did. She had something so capturing. Just how her black painted nails turned each page of the book and her pink lips curved up as she looked down at the words.

"You are not a drop in the ocean. You are the entire ocean in a drop." My head snapped up to see who the voice belonged to and surprised to see the young boy sitting alone earlier was now standing right beside my table looking down at me.

"What?" I asked confused by his first words addressed to me. He smiled and sat down across from me. He looked out the window and at the young girl from the street. "Rumi said that once i think."

"Rumi?" I kept getting even more confused by the second. The boy had black hair in a quiff with dark brown eyes. He was handsome and it surprised me that he didnt have any girls with him at the moment.

"Trust me i have no idea who he is. Rose just told me that once and i liked it." I nodded but was still very confused. The boy kept looking out the window and i started getting scared that the young girl would notice.

"Whos rose?" He turned to look at me. His plain expression turned into a smirk.

"Rose is the girl you keep staring at across the street." I tried to object but he stopped me before i could. "Im not dumb, i saw you. And dont worry, i wont tell." I nodded. I didnt know what else to do so i glanced at the young girl who i now knew as Rose. The young boy also turned back to look at her. We stayed like that for a couple minutes until he spoke up again.

"My name is Zayn by the way." I turned to look at him and nodded. "Im Liam." I introduced myself and he smiled.

"Do you know her?" I asked gesturing towards Rose even though i already knew the answer. I just wanted to make sure they werent together.

"Yes. Rose is my best friend. Were not hanging out right now because well im not a big fan of the lava java and shes reading anyways. Its like that everyday really. She goes there and read while i come here alone with all the other students." He explained and i nodded. Silence again.

"Why did you chose those words as the first ones to speak to me?" I asked curious. He shrugged and looked back at Rose. "It felt right. Rose is a simple girl. People would say that she is just a drop in the ocean but others think the opposite. I thought you would be like me and think the opposite, am i right?" I nodded even though i felt like i didnt need to. Of course i didnt, he was staring at rose. I did the same and we just stared at her for a while as she tapped her fingers on one of the pages of the book to the beat of the music coming from her headphones as she continued reading. My breath got caught in my throat when she looked up and her eyes focused in my direction. She smiled as she lightly waved. I brought up my hand but put it down quickly when i realized that she was waving at Zayn. I flushed red in embarrassment and looked down at my hands.

"Ill see you another time Liam." I looked up to see Zayn getting up from his seat. I looked across the street as Rose packed her things up in a purple back pack. She talked to the waiter, probably saying her goodbyes, and walked out the small shop.

"Shes 16 liam, be careful." I looked up at Zayn who was already at the door. He nodded and with that he walked out. I looked at Rose as she greeted Zayn with a tight hug. They stood in the middle of the road for a bit just talking. After a while they started walking down the street together still talking. Students started leaving Starbucks and i did the same. As i walked home the only thing i could think about was Rose. I wondered if her favorite flower was a rose or maybe she even hated the flower. I wondered what kind of music she listened to. I wondered how many quotes she knew and i wanted her to tell me all of them.

I wondered if normal people fall in love at first sight. I hoped so.
