Once I finished getting ready for the party, I remembered that I said earlier I didn't want to see Bin for the rest of the day. Eunwoo pops into my mind, saying he could invite Bin. I sigh and shake my head, getting rid of the mental image and conflicting thoughts. "He seems a bit weird. I doubt he could get him invited if it's a big party anyways..."
Then my doorbell rings and I rush out of my room and down the small flight of stairs. When I open the door, Minhyuk's standing there scratching his head. Fuck. I was hoping I wouldn't have to deal with him. He scowls and opens the screen door, simply walking into the little foyer. "Um, excuse you. I didn't invite you in."
"I'm not a vampire. Besides, Eunwoo told me to wait with you while he goes to get Bin," he says it with ease as he looks around. He shoves his hands into his pockets before setting his gaze on me. He looks a little doped up.
"You can wait outside. It's not cold out right now," and I start to shove him out the door. He's snickering and he turns around to me, grabbing my wrist. He ends up moving his face closer to mine while keeping his grip and I'm rather bold suddenly, staring him down and unphased. "If you lay a hand on me, just know Bin and Eunwoo both won't let you live."
I'm not actually sure if Eunwoo would stand up for me if Minhyuk did hit me, but it seems to work as he backs up with a sigh. His hand loosens its hold and he lets my wrist go. He's scratching the back of his head again and I assume it's a habit of his. I think we stand there for a while in silence before the door opens and Bin is stepping inside.
I think the first thing he does is glare at Minhyuk and then shove him back a little so he isn't as close to me. "You better not have touched her," he stands tall with his hands shoved in his pockets. He seems rather bitter right now. Then we're all squeezing into the foyer when Eunwoo enters.
"What is taking you all so long? I gave you a simple task Bin," Eunwoo is sighing softly, seeming less serious for once. He grabs Bin and Minhyuk's arms and begins to drag them out. I blink with mild confusion before following after them. "Emily get's to sit up front since she's a lady." Eunwoo's winking at me as he shoves the boys into the back of his hella nice car. Like damn. I thought Bin had a nice car but his car is shit compared to Eunwoo's.
I'm sitting in the passenger's seat and admiring his car with my mouth hanging open. "Eunwoo, your car is so nice. This is insane..." I glance at him and his smile is strange. It's not the usual. I feel like it's a bittersweet smile.
"Thanks. My family is kind of rich," he murmurs it in a soft manner.
Minhyuk lets out a loud snort from the back, "'Kind of' is such a goddamn understatement, Mr. Handsome." God, he's so high right now. I sigh at his comment and look down at my hands in my lap before looking ahead as Eunwoo silently starts to drive away.
------
"How much longer?" I ask it quietly, breaking into part of the conversation. We'd been driving for at least a half hour. We've been getting along pretty well (surprisingly) and it seems I'm over not wanting to see Bin today. We're back to normal, the both of us.
Eunwoo keeps staring ahead while he speaks, being a safe driver, "Hmm... Should be a few more minutes. Not long." He does break his gaze from the road just for a second to look at me. "Sorry it's so far away," he speaks in a low voice, giving me an apologetic smile.
I quickly shake my head, "Oh no, it's fine! It's just that I'm getting a little tired." I throw back an apologetic smile, laughing sheepishly. He returns to his regular smile and stares at the road again. Minhyuk's been too quiet, now that I realize it. When I glance back, he's passed out, so I turn to Bin. "How long has he been out?" I also point my finger in Minhyuk's direction just to clarify.
