Becoming A Part Of SMTOWN

Part 8

I placed my bag down on a chair by the court and tied my hair in a pony tail. Even though I grew up playing basketball, I've never felt so nervous playing a game. I knew that I have to play it cool like they're normal people, but honestly who could.

"I want _______ on my team." Minho blurted out as he gives me a smile

Everyone looked at him, and I could feel my face starting to turn red.

"Fine, so I'll take Chanyeol, Amber and Neal then." Siwon said as he gives Amber and Neal a high-five.

"We have odd numbers then." Lucas said.

"I'll join in."

It was the one and only DBSK Changmin. He was my very first bias, and DBSK was the first group I've ever stan.

"Anyeonghaseyeo Sunbaenim!" The NCT members said in unison as they bowed to him.

"Hey guys! You guys having a good time so far?" Changmin asked.

"Yes!" They replied enthusiastically

Changmin walked on the court towards Minho. 

"I guess I'm in your team then." Changmin said to Minho. 

"Works for me. Oh by the way this is ________ Amber's friend." Minho replied. 

"Nice to meet you ______. I'm Max." Changmin said with a smile as he gave me a wave. 

"Nice to meet you too." I said trying to hide my excitement. 

"Let's man up." Minho said as he grabbed the ball from the  ground. 

"I got _____." Amber blurted out. 

I gave her a quick nod and everyone else called their man, Neal had Chanyeol, Lucas had Changmin, and Siwon had Minho. 

Minho and Siwon lined up at the free throw line to shoot for the possession.  Siwon shot first but his shot was short and hit the rim. Minho then followed him and made it perfectly into the net. 

"Yes, we start then" Minho said proudly. Both teams got on their side and Minho checked the ball in. Minho started to dribble the ball down the court and I sprinted for a 'V' cut to get an easy pass. Minho saw me running down the court and bounce passed the ball for a quick lay-up. 

"Nice one _____" Minho said as he ran to me for a high-five. 

"Thanks" I replied with a smile. 

"What are we playing up to?" Chanyeol asked.

"21?" Amber said.

"Sounds good, but losers will have to take shots." Changmin said as he pointed his finger at the bar." 

"Let's play then." 

We kept playing for a couple of minutes, and the score was 19-17 for us and we only needed one more basket to win. Changmin had the ball, and I was guarding Amber on the right side. I noticed that Changmin was going to pass to Amber so I took one step in front of Amber, and I intercepted the ball. I ran across the court and finished it with another lay-up. The whole team ran towards me to celebrate the win

"That was pretty impressive ______." Lucas said as he gave me a fist bump. 

"Yeah, I wasn't expecting you to be good, considering your height." Chanyeol said playfully. 

I gave him a quick nudge and he smiled back. 

"_______ you played so good." Minho said. 

"Thanks, Minho." I replied with a smile. I was glad that I was able to play well despite freaking out on the inside.  

"Hyung, should we hit the bar?" Minho shouted to Siwon and Changmin.
