It is difficult to write a review for a collection of stories this good, because one would want the review to do justice, but here it goes:

Jhumpa Lahiri is one of my favorite authors. Perhaps her stories resonate so meaningfully to most, if not all, readers, because of her unique ability to use simple language to unearth and expose the most complex of human feelings and emotions. The characters in her stories are ordinary people and their experiences, struggles, disappointments, moments of joy and happiness are so finely written that it is difficult not to feel empathy. Most of her stories conclude in such a beautiful way that the reader is left under a spell and cannot stop thinking about the characters and story for days.

Among the collection of stories, my favorite is The Third and Final Continent. When I finished reading it, I had goose-bumps.
