"Attention all students! Get your asses to the A/V (Audio/Visual) Room immediately!" Monokuma shouts through the speakers. I walk into the A/V room with the other students and sit down at the laptop with headphones and a CD on top of it with my name. Chiyo and Masaru sit down next to me as the other students take their seats. "What's going on now?" Masaru grumbles. "Well, let me explain!" Monokuma starts, walking down the room. "That CD right there is your first incentive for our little game! Just put on the headphones and put in the disc. Be sure to watch the whole thing!" He giggles and leaves. One by one, the other students put in their discs and put on the headphones. I do the same and watch the screen..
It's my parents, sitting in our family room. "You being chosen to go to Hope's Peak Academy is just unbelievable!" My mom smiled. "We'll be sure to get you into the family business as soon as you get back," my dad grinned proudly..
I sighed quietly. I didn't want to work at my dad's business, though I couldn't tell that to him. My father sets up organized crimes and works with dozens of gangs and criminals. He wants me to work as a yakuza if I survive this hellhole. Apparently, they doesn't know what's going on..
..Suddenly, the screen turns to static. Moments later, the screen clears. Mom and dad are gone.. The sofa they were sitting on is torn everywhere. Scratches are on the wall, screams ring through the headphones. Suddenly, the video ends and the screen turns to black.
I sit at the laptop, shocked. I look over at Chiyo. She has her hand over her mouth, staring horrified at her screen. I look over at Masaru. He's staring blankly at his screen, breathing quickly. "This is a joke.. This is only a joke.." He whispers. "What are you talking about? This is real! It's real!" Kasumi yells with tears in her eyes. "There's no way that psychotic bear could do anything to our families!" He shouts back. As the two keep arguing, the other students mumble to each other and whimper. I see Chiyo still staring at a blank screen. Saki and Shin are hugging each other nervously. Tsubasa and Yamato are glaring at their screens as Daichi stares at his laptop emotionless. Through all the yelling and murmuring, I hear Monokuma laughing through the speakers..
This is what he wants, isn't it? He wants us to worry, he wants us to argue.. But, none of the others here would murder someone..
