Pain blooms in his thighs then in the palm of his hands. He faintly remembers his own scream ripping through his throat and echoing through the corridor, his back against the wall as his feet were almost two inches off the ground. His arms spread to the sides and his legs close together. If anyone in space knew of the Christian religion they'd realize he almost looks like Jesus on the crucifix. His palms and thighs hold elongated daggers instead of nails, holding him against the wall of the ship. The sentry that was basically torturing him, had a sword out ready to impale him.

Lance is muttering a curse under his breath, his face morphed in pain as heads of sweat rolls down his bruised face. He pants heavily from pain and closes his eyes awaiting his fate but it never comes. His shoulder screams with pain but luckily he isn't dead yet. Opening his eyes, he finds Kolivan staring at him with wide eyes. He places a hand against his chest as he takes out the daggers and the sword out of his shoulder. He catches the blue Paladin, holding him.

"Lance, where are you?" His com comes to life when he retrieves his helmet. "Lance answer me!"

"Shiro? He's here," Kolivan answers glancing at the human who is giving a pleading look for him not to tell him about his injuries. "We'll be there in a bit. We got caught off by a few sentries."

  "Hurry up, we need help."

Kolivan can't help but just watch as the Blue Paladin forces himself up, looking over at the Galra rebel with a grin. If he wasn't staring at him right now, he would've thought that he is okay, no wonder his team doesn't seem to be worried about him. How can he force himself to take pain and act like nothing is wrong? "Young Paladin, you shouldn't go into battle. Not like the way you are right now."

"I'm fine..." he trails off, gasping for air when agony blooms across his shoulder. "I'll be fine. We should get going, can't keep them waiting for a long time. I promise that'll I'll get into a healing pod afterwards, just let's keep going."

Kolivan wants to argue but he doesn't get the chance when Lance starts limping away. He doesn't give much choice to the human as he scoops him up and begins to run to the Blue Lion. He ignores the protests the entire time and sets him on the seat. "Shiro, where are you?" Kolivan inquires as he takes the com from the Paladin who is manning the lion and mentally reassuring her that he is okay. They fly into the sky, helping to fight the Galra. He blasts a fighter away that sneaked up on Pidge.

"Are you two okay we heard you scream Lance?" Lance gives Kolivan a look who sighs and reassures him that they're both okay. "Alright, direct their attention away from us the best you can. Allura is trying to get a wormhole ready." Lance hisses at the pain his palms and shoulders but contributes all that he can in directing the attention from the castle. Once they get out of there, he slumps in his seat, holding his shoulder with a bloody palm.

"Lance, are you alright?" The leader of the Blade knows it's a stupid question but he needs to make sure. He only gets a small yes in return as he leads them back to the castle. The Cuban flinches when he realizes that he messed up on the mission big time. He knows that he's going to get scolded but the Galra beside him—he's the only one that knows of his condition and how would he react to seeing his teammates that way? Kolivan isn't deceived by the young cub's reassurance. He knows he isn't but he doesn't question it again, deciding to let his team deal with it.

"Lance, what were you thinking leaving your position? Where were you when we needed you?" Shiro takes a step forward as Lance takes a step back. He stumbles slightly but forces himself to stay up right. "Lance, answer the question."

Lance stays silent knowing he's making it worse. Kolivan frowns as he looks over at the cub. "He was helping me. There were too many sentries that had surrounded me," he answers for him. "He came to my aid when I asked for it."
