For hundreds of years, Jersey residents have told interesting tales about a beast that roams the Pine Woods called the Jersey Devil.
In the story, legend says a Pines resident in 1735, named Mother Leeds was pregnant with her 13th child. The family wasn't to wealthy and once finding out that she was expecting another kid she screamed "Let this one be a devil!" Mother Leeds gave birth several months later, forgetting about the curse she casted upon her fetus.
When she gave birth, it wasn't a healthy baby boy, but a devil. It started clawing and biting the siblings and father in the room. The mother escaped, and ran to the neighbors. While escaping the beast had caught to her and killed her. Then escaping into the woods.
