"Hey Jonny," Brynn greeted, kissing his head like they normally did before sitting across from him, pulling up her legs and tucking them under her
"Hey B," he replied, looking at the table
Brynn furrowed her eyebrows, Jon always made eye contact unless he was confused, sad or thinking
"What's wrong?" She asked, squinting at him
"Hmm?" He asked, fiddling with his fingers
"Jonathan David, what is going on?" She asked, getting his full attention as she called his middle name as well
"It's relationship stuff," he admitted, shrugging
"What relationship stuff?" She asked carefully, already dreading his response
"I think Renee's cheating on me," he admitted drawing random figures on the table
Brynn gritted her teeth and gripped the table's edge
"With?" She asked
"That Graves kid." He sighed
"Jon-" Brynn began
"You know what B?" Jon began, standing up making Brynn crane her neck up to look at him
"You're my best friend, so hey. Joe's hanging with his mom in Florida tonight and there's no way I wanna go back to my room, so how about I come over with some wings and beer and we have a night?" He asked smiling
Brynn grinned back, loving that Jon was being so positive about this. He'd always been extremely strong
"Absolutely." Brynn replied and they set a time and everything was set
After they ate and Jon had quite a few drinks in his head, he began ranting about Renee and Corey and had burst out into tears, now, he was laying on Brynn's lap, asleep, his blue eyes hid away from the world and his under eyes puffy and red from late nights and all the tears he had just shed
Brynn decided to shoot a quick text to Joe
To: Samoan-Prince😍💍
Hey love, Jon crashed at our place for one of our sleepovers, hope you're having fun at your mom's. Missing you to bits and pieces. Love you x.😚
She waited 2 minutes before her phone dinged
From: Samoan-Prince😍💍
Okay babe, have fun and save me a beer, see you tomorrow night. Love you most babygirl good night❤
She then thought to Renee and her jaw clenched as Jon choked a sob even in sleep

I need to talk to you. It's urgent.
She waited and within a minute she got a reply

Of course, when and where?
Brynn replied with a time and location, opting to meet for a coffee tomorrow and she smiled as she heard Jon talk
"Brynn....best friend," he whispered, making her grin, then she began playing with his hair
Last thing she remembered was falling asleep, playing with Jon's hair who was still asleep on her lap
