"let me continue. he happens to live in l.a, so i met up with him there. we're best friends now, so that's cool." maya finished off.
"does he have a girlfriend?" her mom asked maya while eyeing her.
"yeah." maya simply replied, going onto her phone, as a signal that she just wants to end the conversation. maya's mom went back to what she was doing.
