There things in your life you get used to and then it drives you crazy, when you can't do what you want to do. Me for instance is shift and run in the woods, letting the wind flow threw my fur.

I can almost feel my wolf wanting to be free. To run and not stop running.

The hairs on my arms raise up, and a chill goes threw my spin. I was being watched, but I don't know who it is. There guards around to make sure I'm safe, as I work on this sad looking garden. Zander grandma idea of keeping my mind off of pressing things.

It's a toss up of it working and not working.

Leaning back, I put my face to the sky as the wind pushes my hair back.

The back door opens and then shuts with a bang. Opening my eyes Zander grandma holds ice tea in her hands. I haven't been working to much, mostly taking my frustration out on some weeds.

"Your going to over do it. Come get something to drink."

"I haven't been working long on it, I'll be fine for the moment." She raises her eye brow and I know that look, she gives it to Zander for when he miss behaves. "Fine," grumbling I get up and go to the small table set close to the back door.

"So how are you feeling?" She asks as soon as I sit down and join her.

Sipping my drink, I tell her what's bothering me the most and fear for the untold future.

"It'll all work out in the end and before you know it, those pups will make you run all over the place " she chuckles before going on. "When Sam and Zander were little, they got in to all sort of trouble."

Thinking of Sam, I can't help but ask. "Did Sam leave the pack? He's around less, then when I got here "

Sorrow fills her eyes. "That boy had a good life when he was young. He was so excited to be a big brother, but when the day came to pick a new Alpha and Zander was picked over him, he's never been the same." She takes in a ragged breath and slowly lets it out. "Many don't know, but Sam has taken his mate and have left. You were there, that day when he said he was going on vacation or what have you. But what you don't know, is that this has been a long time coming. I love both the boys and their choices are their own. But I fear, that he has gotten over his head in the worst way." She looks into my eye's. "I pray, that what the Moon Goddess has shown me is wrong."

"What-"

Before I can even say another word, the table falls over, the drinks and glasses fall to the ground braking.

Looking up to who could done this, my heart feels as if it'll jump out of my chest. Please no.

Zander grandma is on her feet faster then I am. She stands in front of me, with her arms out wide. "You will not take her!"

Vick shifts, standing naked in front of us. His eyes deep and threatening. "Step aside old one, this doesn't concern you."

"She is my family and the new Luna of the pack!"

Vick exhale annoyed and holds up his hand and before either one of us can do anything, Vick slaps her on the face. The impact is so strong, it sends her flying into the wall of the house.

Getting to my feet, I feel hot inside like I need to shift. "How dare you!" My voice carries so far, the guards decend on to the back yard. "Give back what you have stolen and burn in hell!"

Couple of the men shift and go to Zander grandma. "Gabriela, are you hurt any where?" One of them asks.

"Takes a lot more then throwing me into a wall, to hurt me." She tells them.

Vick smiles wickedly at me. "You have no sway over me, human. You have no wolf to shift into and these dogs and old Luna, won't save you from me."

He's right, he can kill everyone if he really wanted to and I have no way to help my pack. Standing up straight, I look him dead in the eye. "What do you want dead man?"

He holds out his hand to me. "Just you. You slipped threw my fingers and I'll be damned if that happens again. If you want no blood on this pretty grass, then come with me willingly."

The guards step forward that are in wolf form snarling and snapping their teeth. The people in human forms hold guns. "Our Luna stays." A young female says. Her face still round from young age, her short hair matches her dark eye's.

Vick is in front of me, before I can blink. "She will, if she knows what's good for her." His words so soft, but so deadly.

All of the sudden someone grabs me from the back and jumps high in the air, as two large wolves attack Vick at once. They crash into the house, taking out the kitchen.

Landing lightly on the ground, the person that saved me, turns around and stances as if to spring into action at any second.

Destruction, yips, growls and growls come from the house, until yet another hole is made coming out of the living room.

Brad has shifted into his human form. He pounces on Vick, only to be kicked in the stomach and sent flying threw the air. Zander grabs on to Vick leg, sinking his fangs in deeply.

"Mongrel, let go!" He demands, only to be thrown aside. He lands in a jeep, his leg bleeding out on the grass. I wish he would stay down, so we can get this done and over with. But of course the dead bastered gets up. He looks over at me and the look in his eyes make me cowear behind the man that had saved me. "I'll be back Bree, when your not-" he looks at Zander, as if he's the root of all evil. "Entertaining." He bounds up into the air, only to shift.

Zander snarls so fearcley, his hole body shakes. A handful of the guards go after Vick, but he's gone so fast, I know they won't catch him.

The man in front of me, turns around and bows, standing in submision, as if I'm still the same person, I was born. I'm human, a weak being, that can't even protect her pack. Dread fills me and I can't help but touch my stomach, as if it'll hold the key to getting everything fixed. "Thank you." My voice is soft and I can't even look at him, not wanting anyone see the glimear of my eyes of trying to hold back the tears.

Zander goes to his grandmother, sniffing at her, as she tries to wave him away. "I'm fine, it'll take more then a toss against the house, to be rid of these bag of bones." She looks at me, sorrow in her eyes, no doubt seeing the held back tears. "Your mate needs you more, then me boy. Make sure she is alright."

For the first time Zander looks at me. His eyes to far away, for me to tell what emotions are in his eyes. But his body language is load and clear. I should had run when see the first sign of trouble.

Zander takes long strides, to stand in front of me. Hot breath washes over my face and now I can see the emotions in his eye's and the emotions twist knots in my stomach. "If I had run, what sort of person would I be?" He huffs at me, like he did when he could be human. I'm trying his passions and if he could at the moment, he would try to justify why he was right. "Zander, I really don't feel like I can be the Luna I once was. I can't even shift unless the moon is out and no clouds cover it. Once this is over, I think it be best if we weighed our options, because who knows what will change in that time."

Turning to walk away, my stomach turns in the worst way. I cry out in pain, before going down on the ground. I hear people cry out. I feel the vibrations in the ground as they run to me. But above all of that and the pain I feel, a wet nose presses gentleay against my face and a whimper fills my ears.

The pain doesn't stop, until help shows up and I'm give meds that soths the pain away and sends me into a deep sleep.
