Help me love again. (A Sophitz story)

Fun hello's

(Third person POV)
They knocked and waited for their friend, their daughter, their comrade whom they haven't seen in around a month and a half. To say that they missed her was an understatement. They had often wondered if she would show up at Havenfield's gates where Grady would grab her and keep her there until everyone was satisfied with her stay. They waited for what felt like an eternity until they heard foot steps coming towards the door. They looked up hopeful and scared they saw a blurry blonde figure walk towards the front door. The figure came into clear view looking at something in her hand as she unlocked the door. She opened it and the group looked at her taking in her appearance her blonde hair had definitely gotten longer almost reaching her waist, she was wearing black short shorts and a blue tank top. She looked up her eyes widening and filling with tears of pure happiness and shock.
"Oh my god" she whispered covering her mouth with her hand as the tears started trailing down her cheeks.
"Sophie" Edaline whispered as her and Grady started to cry as well. Sophie looked at her parents before jumping into their arms hugging them close crying even harder now. Sandor joined them along with Della, Alden, Biana, Dex, and Keefe. Sophie looked at Elwin, Tiergan, Mr. Forkle, Oralie and Terik motioning for them to join. Oralie and Elwin had zero hesitation where as Terik and Mr. Forkle has a bit before they joined and Tiergan well he just downright didn't join until Oralie dragged him to hug Sophie where he smiled gave a soft chuckle and gave in. They all stood there hugging each other until Sophie pulled away wiping her tears
"Well there's no point in standing out here when there's a house right in front of us" she said. They all laughed lightly wiping their own tears. They went entered the huge foyer (human standards). It had shiny white and brown floors that almost made them look like they were made out of glass. The walls were a light peachy tan colour where there was a small cubby hole that held a small statue. In the middle of the floor there was a small table holding a large vase of white flowers.
They followed Sophie down the hall into the living room that had baby grey almost white walls and hard wood floors with a red stripped rug. On one side they had a curved red couch that could seat 3-4 people give or take and on the other they had an L shaped black couch with yellow and red throw pillows decorating it. In the middle of the living room there was a small glass coffee table. On the back wall they had a flat screen tv hanging over top of the fire place.
They sat in a sort of specific order with Sophie on the end of the black couch closest to the TV then Alden, Della Grady, Edaline, Biana, Keefe and Dex. Then on the red couch Tiergan, Oralie and Terik. While Elwin, Mr. Forkle and Sandor were standing beside or behind the couches. Once everyone was seated or in the room around the group.
"So Sophie what have you been doing here?" Edaline asked. Everyone turned their heads to look at her waiting for her response. Sophie looked down sheepishly
"Well I've been doing work for an old friend of mine helping his family and people like him and I've been producing my own music which had me tied up because people would notice my absence, along with me acting in movies and short films, so I haven't really had the time to come visit, and I'm sorry for that I really am, but can you understand where I'm coming from" they all looked at each other, then back at Sophie
"We understand honey but you need to see where we are coming from, none of us have seen or heard from you in over a month we were scared and worried about you" Edaline responded gently
"I know and I'm sorry" Sophie sighed looking at her hands. After about a second or two she looked up and smiled
"I promise that I will find a way to contact you from here whenever I come to live in this house, ok?" Everyone nodded their heads in satisfaction
"Well" Sophie clapped her hands together
"Now that that is settled I need to go make supper" she stood up walking to the kitchen just passed the living room. The kitchen had dark wood cabinets with white marble counter tops though some of the cabinets had glass doors to see inside they had an island in the middle with the same dark wood and white marble the rest of the kitchen had. They had various shades of green and brown tiles for a back splash covering the majority of the walls in the kitchen.
About an hour or so later they were all sitting in the dining room or in the living room since there wasn't enough space for all of them to sit at the table
"What is this Sophie?" Edaline asked
"Stir-fry but without meat cuz you know" she gave them all a look and they all started laughing.
Once they were finished eating they all moved back into the living room. They chatted away and before they knew it, it was dark outside and almost eight o'clock
"I'll be right back I'm gonna go grab a hoodie, I'm getting kinda cold" Sophie said running to the stairs by the front foyer
Soon after trey heard the front door open and Fitz walked into the living room
"Hey guys" he said looking around
"Where's Sophie?" He asked cocking his head a bit
"She went upstairs to grab a sweater" Alden said they heard quick footsteps from upstairs
(This part is like from 2:38 of Halsey's Now Or Never song and you'll know what happens when the chorus starts for this part)
And running down the stairs
"Fitz!!" Sophie said excitedly. As he turned around she jumped up with her legs around his waist and arms around his neck cupping the back of his head she started kissing him and he kissed her back his hands supporting her under her thighs. They heard someone gasp behind them but they didn't care, they only cared that they get to hold and kiss each other again. They stopped and Fitz set her down cupping her neck keeping their foreheads together her hands resting on his chest breathing raggedly and deeply.
"Now that's what I call a hello" they heard Della say. Needless to say everyone laughed
"How long?" Grady asked gripping Edaline's hand hard trying to control himself. Fitz and Sophie looked at each other as they sat on the couch with Sophie practically sitting on Fitz
"Almost 8 months" Fitz answered looking at Grady
"And you never told us?!" Edaline asked looking shocked. Sophie laughed.
"We dropped a lot of non whatsoever subtle hints such as cuddling and even little kisses" Grady tried to stand looking upset to put it lightly but Edaline dragged him down.
"I'm happy for you honey I just wish you had told us earlier" Edaline told her.
"We tried but something happened every time we tried to bring it up" Fitz said putting his arm around Sophie's shoulders hugging her close as she looked at him then to her parents. Fitz then looked down at Sophie
"I'm hungry by the way" he says. She smiles cheekily at him
"Oh yah"
"Yah"
"Suppers in the fridge" she told him and walked away while he stood there looking a little stunned.
