Niall's POV

After dinner, we changed  on the bus into comfortable clothes for flying. I put on a pair of cargo shorts and a white UCLA tank, while Katie put on an a shirt from her Oireachtas dance competition and black wind shorts with her purple Jack Wills flip flops. She had pulled her hair back into a bun. She usually never dressed like that with fans around.

"Ya know," She said to me, "I'm probably going to be taking a ton of crap for going out in public looking like crap, but at an eleven o'clock, thirteen and a half hour flight going to a city with a six hour time difference, I could quite honstly care less."

"It's fine, babe, you look beautiful." I kissed her. The tour bus took us to LAX, and we got out of the car. Security helped us with our bags, and we each brought a carry-on. We got through security okay, after we signed and took pictures with a few fans.

Then, we had about five minutes to board. We were all sitting in seats at the gate. "So, we're going to Dublin after Roma, right?" Katie asked.

"Yes, and we've got two days off, so we can see your brother, and we can go home to visit the family. You should meet my mum and Chris."

"That would be fun. So you've got a concert tomorrow, then we're driving to Dublin, arriving mid-day, and then a concert in Dublin. I vote we sleep in the hotel in Dublin, and wake up around at nine and drive down to Mullingar and have lunch with my parents. We could go out with some friends, and then I could come and stay with you and your dad that night, because my parents are leaving for Emerald Isle to visit my aunt and uncle, and she said we're not allowed to use the house. Then, that next day, we'll go and have lunch with your mom and we can drive back to Dublin to see my brother. We could go out for dinner, and maybe meet up with some people for drinks."

"Doesn't really sound like a vote to me."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"It means, you and your perfectionist self have got it all planned out, and I don't have a say."

"And?"

"And I'm perfectly okay with that." Katie giggled as I kissed her. The lady announced they were boarding our rows, but Zayn's phone rang, and he answered. We all waited as he tried to wrap up the conversation. He began to talk in the phone.

"Hi babe, I'm glad you called. I've been wanting to talk, but we're about to board to Roma, so I'll call you when we land, but isn't it like four in the morning? Perrie, why are you up, love?" I looked at Zayn. He was really happy to have Perrie call, but I was worried over why she was calling him. She knew he had a flight. His face got sullen and worried. "Babe, can it wait?....It can't? Make it quick......what?.....I know I haven't been home recently but....I'll try and come home soon.....I'll be there.....there's nothing I can do to change your mind, is there?.....nice knowing you, I guess.....don't be sorry, you're not sorry anymore.....be friends? that's like saying the dog died, but let's keep it......No, I just can't surround myself with people who are constantly hurting me. Goodbye, Perrie." He hung up the phone.

"Zayn--" I said, but trailed off as he went ahead and got on the plane.

Katie and I sat on the plane, and she draped her legs across my lap and began to talk once we were in the air. "What happened with Zayn and Perrie?" she asked.

"She wasn't talking to him. She wasn't picking up calls, or answering texts. He knew something was wrong with the relationship, and I think he was scared to break it off. We all knew they weren't right for each other. I mean, El and Dani would come to the airport to greet us home, but Perrie wouldn't."

"I didn't like her when I met her, to be honest. She didn't seem as welcome as the other girls. Icy, even." Katie said, and I remembered that night. Perrie did not really talk to anyone, and she seemed uncomfortable around everyone.
