headphones { tsukishima kei }

there was a substitute for your second class of the day and they were no expert on the subject. which meant thankfully, they decided to make the class a free study period. however, this didn't exactly mean that everyone would be studying.

i mean who feels like learning when they don't have to?

as everyone clustered in their groups and chattered away you sat bored in your seat, not really sure what to do. you weren't exactly close with everyone in your class and your one friend you had in this class was at home with the flu.
you were debating whether or not to go up to one of the groups and as your eyes scanned the classroom for anything to do. sighing, you just deciding to try studying.

better now than never i guess.

you pulled out your work and began writing stuff down. but your brain just did not want to focus. normally you could handle background noise but the fact that you didn't want to study and that you could hear someone's music almost perfectly was not helping. sighing, you placed down your pencil on your desk and looked for the source of the music. behind you was your classmate tsukishima.

he was sitting relaxed with his feet up on his desk and big headphones over his head with his eyes closed.  trust me, you did not want to have to bother with him just as much as he didn't want to be bothered by you. but all that you wanted was some peace and quiet. turning around in your chair to properly address him, peeking past his feet to see his face you called out to him.

"tsukishima. could you please turn your music down a bit?" no response. you tried again. nothing. he was giving off the message that he did not want to be bothered. of course, you being currently annoyed, decided to bother him.

you made your way over to his side as he obliviously sat there minding his own business.
"hey, tsukishima!" you called out louder this time. still no reply.
crouching to be level with his ear, you slowly lifted the earphone..
"TSU KI SHI MA~!" you yelled into his ear, scaring the living daylights out of him.

he readjusted himself on the chair after almost falling, trying to play it off like nothing had happened.
"what do you want?" he gave you the meanest side-eye.
"turn down your music please. i can't concentrate," you gave him a warm smile, as if you were innocent.
"why should i? i'm using it to block out annoying people like you," he placed his earphones back on.
"if that music doesn't make you go deaf. i'll be sure to!" you threatened with a smile still on your face, trying to remain calm.

you stood there as he just continued to ignore you. you weren't sure why, but for some reason you felt the need to annoy the hell out of him.
"so whatcha listening to?" you snatched the headphones from him and placed them on, forgetting how loud the music was. you earned another glare from tsukishima in doing so.
"seriously how do you not go deaf listening to your music this loud?" you yelled over the music playing in your ears, disturbing others around you.

"tsukishima. what the hell.. you like girls generation?"
tsukishima eyes widened as he realized and he panicked to grab his headphones back. you couldn't contain your laughter.
"never knew you were into girl groups."
"shut up! my sister must've put it on there," he put the headphones back on, changing the song.

"liar. you probably know all the dances, don't you?"
tsukishima turned away, trying his best to ignore you and hide his pink tinted cheeks.

"awwe is widdle tsukki blushing~?"

oh, tsukishima. how fun it will be to bother you from now on.

it was now after school hours and you had just been dismissed from your club. you were walking with earphones in beginning your lonely journey home alone. you were jamming out to your favourite playlist and barely even made it off school property before being scared half to death by some creep.
you were walking when someone had pulled out one of your earbuds. you froze as your slowly turned your head to see tsukishima.

for once you could actually say you were relieved to see it was him. "whatchu listening to?" he mocked you from earlier as he placed the earbud in his ear.
his expression instantly turned into a teasing one as he listened to the song.
"what kind of music is this?" he tried to contain his laughter.

"s-shut up! i like it, stupid tsukishima!" you snatched back the earbud by pulling on the cord and started to walk off at a quicker pace this time to gain as much distance from him as possible.

'oh, (y/n). you should've known better than to bother me in the first place. how fun it'll be to annoy you from now on'
tsukishima chuckled to himself as he watched you storm off.

ok so i may have forgotten about this app for a bit and i randomly clicked on it again today haaa~

i received a lot of notifications from this story and i didn't realize ppl still read it..
i haven't updated it in so long ahh

i may try to update this story more often when i get the chance but i feel like i'm not very satisfied with my oneshots for this story..
