Grif is insanely good at the yo-yo.
Like, when his mom left, he started learning tricks to entertain Kai and she would look up more so that he could learn them.
He knows almost (if not) every trick, and he would put together routines of tricks that looked cool in a row and she loved it.
(This is assuming that Kai was pretty young at the time, probably around 10.)
