When My Life Began

When My life Began--Chapter1

The Beginning

To me the beginning of life is when you truly know its worth, otherwise your just going through the motions really not caring, making memories but not bothering to remember them. So this is the story of when my life began. This all started with a date I could never forget.

It was July 26,2013 at 5:59pm when my grandma passed of level 4 colon cancer. Ironic huh , I the girl who can't remember what my mom told me to do 5 seconds ago can remember the day her grandma passed almost a year ago. You see my mom took me to go see my grandmother in the hospital at visiting time which was at 6:00pm. My mom left me alone in the waiting room to go see my grandma or to go ask the nurse so I'm not sure. But I was in the waiting room watching movies on my iPod all alone. When my mother came in 30 to 40 minutes later and she kneeled down in front of me I pulled out my earphones and asked my mom "can I see her now can we go in" and she told me "Grandmas passed she's gone" and for a moment there I thought I was dreaming that I had fallen asleep in the chair of that waiting room I mean it wouldn't be the first time. Then I looked around and I thought is this a joke then I realized it couldn't be a joke why would my mom lie to me about her mother being dead in a hospital bed a few feet away from me.

At first I wasn't crying I felt empty when I realized she was gone or at least when I was told she was gone. She asked me did I want to see her and I said yeh,so she took me down the hall when I saw my cousin Denise in her work clothes, she drove straight from Wilmington where she lived she was standing against the wall falling down, drowning in her tears. When I saw her I couldn't help but feel it the pain of death rushing towards me it hit me like a wave, it was a wave of pain I couldn't help but feel it and when it hit me I broke. I fell to the ground the pain was to hard to painful to feel, it felt like I was drowning in the ocean and there was a wall keeping me from bringing my head above water.
