Chapter 14

When the whole gang arrived back home everyone was surprised seeing Mei holding a human child
"Why did you bring a human here?" Mitsuko asked
"We found another human and she was holding him. The organization was trying to kill them both but...the mother got killed and we couldn't leave him alone" Yuzu explained
"Wait...Yuzu you met the organization?" Yuzu's grandfather asked
"Yeah...they wanted Mei..." Yuzu said clenching her fists
"Oh my goodness Mei you're injured!" Sara exclaimed
"I'm fine..." Mei said
"No Mei...come with us we'll heal you easily. It'll just take a few minutes" Nina said as she pulled out a small drink. Mei sighed and started to drink the potion which made her feel better and relaxed
"Yuzu...about the organization. There is something about that. Your cousin is in that organization. He used to be your father's favorite nephew but there bond ended when you came. Your father tried to tell him that he shouldn't be jealous but he didnt listen...he even had a crush on Mei when they were kids but you would always be there with Mei so he never got any alone time with her. Which made him hate you even more." Yuzu's grandfather explained
"Wow...but doesn't he know that my father got killed by that human he's working with?" Yuzu asked
"I've tried speaking with him...but he wouldn't listen" Yuzu's grandfather said. All the sudden everyone's was shocked when they saw Sho, Ume, and Mei's grandfather
"Father!" Mei exclaimed
"Mei I'm so glad you're okay" Sho said as he hugged Mei
"Mom!" Yuzu exclaimed and ran up to her and hugged her
"Oh Yuzu I'm so happy to see you again!" Ume said
"Mei? Is that a human baby?" Sho asked
"Yes. This human called Ela told me to take care of him. So Yuzu and I are adopting him as our son" Mei said
"Huh? You and Yuzu are together?" Sho asked
"Yes...is there a problem?" Mei asked
"Well no but...um..."
"Mei I have found someone who will become your fiance. He is from the organization and I have negotiated with them. They said they will stop the humans if you married the vampire" Mei's grandfather said. Yuzu's heart stopped not believing what she just heard. It was dead silence until Yuzu's grandfather growled and immediately punched Mei's grandfather
"What the hell?! Why would you do that?!" Yuzu's grandfather said wanting to punch him again but Ume walked up to him and stopped him
"Stop don't hurt him it won't change anything" Ume said
"You bastard! Now my granddaughter will be killed by the human! It's a trap can't you see that! The organization might think they can stop that human but they killed my son! They won't be able to stop him!" Yuzu's grandfather shouted
"Dad I won't let Mei marry some vampire in that organization. They killed my wife!" Sho said
"You mean that succubus well you shouldn't have fallen for her." Mei's grandfather said
"But I loved her and she loved me! I still remember that day where organization were about to kill my daughter..." Sho said
"I found a vampire who truly loves Mei and he will not let Mei get killed by that organization" Mei's grandfather said
"Yuzu loves Mei alright?! She can protect her better than that vampire! He is no good at all!" Yuzu's grandfather shouted
"How do you know if that vamp-"
"Because that vampire tried to kill Yuzu! He was jealous of her since she was the daughter of the strongest alpha! He was also jealous because Yuzu and Mei had a close relationship when they were kids! My son loved him but when he saw him about to kill Yuzu he hated him!" Yuzu's grandfather said
"M-mom..." Yuzu said
"Yuzu...I know this is too much for you but...it'll be okay" Ume said and hugged Yuzu comforting her. Mei stood still not believing what was going on holding her son Mokuro closely while her father had an arm wrapped around her shoulder
"Dad...what you did...I just...I don't want Mei to marry a vampire in that organization. I would perfer her to stay with Yuzu. It's better that way...especially since...Yuzu does have a curse thing..." Sho said looking down. Yuzu clenched her fists tightly feeling confused not knowing what else to do
"I understand but if I go back and tell the organization that the wedding is off...they'll kill us" Mei's grandfather said
"I just wish that boy understood that my son was killed by that human. He won't listen to no one anymore..." Yuzu's grandfather said.
"The humans have all moved towards the Aihara castle. They are all waiting for Mei..." Mei's grandfather said
"No...she's not going" Sho said
"But if she doesn't go then we're all dead..." Mei's grandfather said
"Yes but if we bring all the monsters there we could fight them...guess it's a war" Yuzu's grandfather said
"A war? Seriously? It's best to make things peaceful and just let Mei marry that vampire" Mei's grandfather said
"It's a trap! Forget the organization! That human wants to kill my granddaughter! He knows Mei is important to Yuzu so if he is able to take Mei away from Yuzu then she'll transform into...the wild monster. It's a curse that has been in the Okogi pack...it's really rare. No other wolf has this...we never knew how this whole curse started..." Yuzu's grandfather said
"Yeah...also he was my best pal. He was like a brother. He was there for me when I needed help...but...I couldn't save him when he needed me" Sho said looking down remembering his best pal's death
"We need to try and talk with that vampire. He must understand..." Yuzu's grandfather said
"But what if he tries to hurt us?" Sho asked
"We'll fight him if we have to...if my granddaughter dies...I will murder you " Yuzu's grandfather said and punched the old man but Mei's grandfather attacked the old wolf
"Hey cut it out!" Sho said trying to pull them apart. Ume then went up to them trying to help Sho
You see? You will need me soon...do you want to protect Mei and your son?
Y-yes...
Then let me help you...I am very powerful...this can be your one and only chance to protect Mei and your son
N-no...I won't listen to you
Yuzu shook her head while the other were still arguing. Yuzu fell on her knees and clenched her fists tightly as she was beginning to transform into her final stage...or monster stage. Nene then scanned Yuzu and was amazed how her strength kept on growing. Yuzu teared up as she felt a painful feeling in her mouth as her teeth began to sharpen and her fangs grew sharper and her body ached as fire started to burst out of her back as her vampire wings grew sharper and larger
"S-something's wrong with Yuzu!" Nene exclaimed
"Yuzu!" Mei said worried and ran up to her holding their son. Yuzu growled and looked up seeing Mei and her son

Yuzu then hugged her as she started to tear up not believing she was this close transforming into something...awful...
