Third person's point of view.

Cora and her pack went into hiding after the night at the Sheriff's station. Scott had told Cora that Allison had gone there with Chris to kill her, because of what had happened with her mother and how Cora had turned her the night of the Rave. So Cora went into hiding reluctantly, she had tried to talk to her mother before that but all she got was silence through a closed door, Cora had said that she would have never intentionally lie to her mother,

She had said that she knew it was dangerous and that keeping the world Cora now lived a secret from her mother would be the best way to keep her safe, Melissa could understand that but she still would have like to have known what was going on whether she understood it or not, after Cora had left it had been days since anyone had seen her, Erica, Boyd or Isaac. They had all gone to ground to avoid unnecessary confrontation with Allison and the other hunters.

Cora one night was sitting in the Hale house with Derek, he was going through his family's books when Erica and Boyd came in, Derek didn't turn and Cora didn't need to look up to know what was going on, they wanted to leave, to join another pack.

"You decided." Cora said still looking through her book,

"When?" Derek asked as he turned to face them.

Erica and Boyd hesitated for a moment before answering,

"Tonight," Erica said,

"Everyone's going to be at the game and we figured it was the best time." Boyd explained,

Erica locked her eyes on Cora who was now watching them, she was expressionless, but her different coloured eyes were reading them like the book in her hands,

"It's not like we want to." Erica said,

She hoped Cora wouldn't be mad, that she would understand that she and Boyd just didn't want to stay and be killed by hunters, or to deal with a raging Kanima.

"What do you want?" Derek asked moving towards them, he was disappointed, to say the least,

"Since I just turned 16 a month ago, I wouldn't mind getting my license, I can't do that if I'm dead, you know." she said and Cora stood up.

Erica flinched and started to panic a bit as her Alpha moved towards her, terror pounded through Erica and it wasn't just because of Cora, but because of everything else,

"We told you there was a price," Derek said as Cora moved,

"Yeah, but you didn't say it would be like this." Boyd argued back,

"Yeah, but I told you how to survive, you do it as a pack...And you're not a pack without an Alpha." Derek snapped at Boyd before moving back a bit.

Before more could be said Cora reached out and pulled Boyd and Erica into her, she wrapped her arms around both and held on firmly, hugging her back she pulled away when she felt them relax and calm down,

"If you really plan on doing this, then at least call me when you get settled, if you're not going to call me as your Alpha do it as your friend. I don't care so long as you call every chance you get." Cora said a hand on each of their shoulders,

"Cora!?" Derek said shocked and angry.

Her head snapped back and her eyes flashed as a small growl escaped her lips to silence him, backing up a step from her, he became quiet.

"How are you going to find another pack?" Cora asked,

She asked in a way that sounded motherly, like she wanted to know if they'd be okay.
