I say into my phone and ending the call, I walk into the lounge, "Betty, what's your moms opinion on mitching school?" I ask, wanting to be out of there, "uh... mitching?" Betty asks, I sigh, remembering it's Irish slang (idk if anyone else using mitching but we do, a lot-) "Skipping, what's her opinion on skipping?" I ask, "bad. She'd ground me for a year." Betty says, laughing a little, "But what if you have a valid reason?" I ask, "Nope." She says, "fuck sakes" I groan, sitting down, "Why would a northsider want to skip?" Fangs asks, "the fuck is a northsider?" I ask, "Cause I'm sure as hell not one, that sounds stupid." I say, "There's to sides in Riverdale, the north, which is everyone's favourite and the south, the place known for the serpents, which me, Fangs and Sweets are from." Toni explains, "Serpents? Like, honest to god, no offence, but who calls a gang the serpents? Least threatening thing I've ever heard." I chuckle, "Do you have a death wish?" Kevin whispers to me, "Nope" I say popping the 'p', "spend few hours a day in an Irish bar and you learn to just be fearless of what anyone says, gang or not. Kayleigh: can you come pick me up from school? Someone called me and just put more salt in the wound from my parents

Alice(Auntie): I would sweetie but I can't , but tell Betty to take you to the blue and gold office after school today.

Kayleigh: what's that?

Alice(auntie): it's the school newspaper, Betty and Jughead works for it.

Kayleigh; oh okay, I'll see you there then

"Betty" I say looking at her, "yeh?" Betty responds, "Alice said to take me to the blue and gold office today, and she loves you" I say, I hear Betty groan, "okay." She says, "I feel like you and mama Cooper have a better bond then Betty and mama Cooper." Jughead comments, amused, "Alice and me always had a good connection because I am/was the one who she saw more, my mom wanted her riverdale history gone, except Alice. Why? I don't  know, just she'd make me call Alice every night, telling her how I got on with school." I shrug, Betty just glares at me, "Anyways, I'm going to go to my first class, cya." I say standing up, "wait, what's your first class?" Toni asks, "Maths." I say, "Mine too, I'll show you where it is." She says standing up, I nod and pick up my bag, she walks out of the lounge and I follow her

Betty's POV
"So Betty, what's your opinion on her?" Kevin asks me, "she's like chic! I didn't even know she god damn existed!" I complain sitting down, "so you don't like her?" Archie comments "somethings up with her, she's not telling us something and I'm going to find out, that damn phone call had to be important."I say, "who's saying she's hiding anything? Maybe she's just a loner?" Jughead says, "She got kicked out from her house and instead of staying in ireland she went to possibly as far away as she could, Jug that's not normal." I say, "maybe she got bullied?" Veronica says, "Who would bully her? she's a princess." Sweet Pea says, "Toni likes her" Fangs comments, "Ignoring that, I'm going to find out about her, she's suspicious." I say, "and you guys are going to help me." I say looking at the two serpents, "including Toni."

At lunch, near the end of the day
Kayleigh's POV
I walk outside and mentally curse, "Y/N!" I hear Toni yell, I sigh and walk over to her "hey" I say, "do you want to sit?" She asks, "uh... I don't want to interrupt your conversation.." I say, "nah, sit." Sweet Pea says, "So Kayleigh, question, any boyfriend in Ireland?" Fangs asks me, I sigh "yeh, we broke up though." I sigh, "why?" Toni asks, "Well s-*cough* he decided to fuck me over, which resulted in me being here, and somehow the person everyone wants to be friends with because of my accent." I end the call, and start walking back to the table, "sorry about that.,. My friend Philip wanted to talk to me." I lie, "It's fine, but you didn't answer the question, princess." I say, she nods, I walk over to Betty, she takes my hand and drags me to the blue and gold office, "So, Kayleigh!" Jughead begins, I look up at him, "So, be honest with us, why were you kicked out?"
