In a section of the Shatterdome, Mako Mori lead Braedey along the catwalks, as some mechanics and technicians worked on some wiring and steel around them.
"There she is." Mako gestured a hand to a Jaeger nearby in its main bay.
Braedey looked over, and he felt his breath hitch in his throat. He walked forward to the balcony fence, and looked at the Jaeger in awe. The sight of the turbine in the middle of the chest, along with the flaps on the shoulders, and the familiar Conn-Pod.
"Sweet mother of Jaeger..." Braedey breathed. "It's her... Gipsy Danger. Man, it's been awhile. She looks all brand new."
"Better than new." Mako added. "She has a double-core nuclear reactor. She's one of a kind now."
"She was always a one-of-a-kind." Braedey stated. 'But, she's unlike her.' He thought in his head.
"How do you like your ride, Martin boy?" Braedey and Mako turn around, and saw Tendo walk up. "Solid iron hull, no alloys. Forty engine blocks per muscle strand. Hyper-torque driver for every limb, and a new fluid synapse system."
Braedey dropped his bag, and hugged the J-Tech official happily. "Tendo. It's good to see you, buddy."
"It's good to see you too, brother." Tendo laughed. "It's just like old times."

Later, Braedey was lead by Mako to his quarters to stay at the Shatterdome. He puts down his bag on the bed, then looked over to Mako.
"So, what's your story, Miss Mako?" Braedey asked. "You restore old Jaegers, and show old pilots like me around? That doesn't sound right. Are you a pilot?" He asked.
"No." Mako replied modestly. "Not yet. I hope you approve of my choices. I've studied your fighting techniques and strategy. Even Alaska."
"So, what do you think?" Braedey asked. He knew it wasn't gonna be good, but he guessed it wouldn't hurt to hear from an expert
"I think you're unpredictable." Mako replied with honesty. "You have a habit of deviating from standard combat techniques. You take risks that endanger yourself and your crew. I don't think you're the right man for this mission."
Braedey sighed to himself, then looked to the photos of him and Max, his brother. "Well, thank you for your honesty, Miss Mori. You might be right. But one day, when you're a pilot, you're gonna see that in combat, you make decisions. And you have to live with the consequences. That's what I'm trying to do."
Mako then decided to leave Braedey to get accustomed to his new quarters. When she looked back to him, she could see he had his head against the wall, his left hand against the wall, and he looked to he lost in his thought. She tapped her chin in thought, then headed off to talk to Pentecost in LOCCENT.
"The candidates are ready." Mako said to Pentecost, as they walked into the Jaeger Control Bay. "We will commence the trials immediately, sir."
"Good." Pentecost replied.
"But there is one thing." Mako spoke up, getting Pentecost's attention. "Braedey seems like he's not too sure about piloting Gipsy again. I don't know if he'll approve of the candidates, or think about it."
Pentecost thought about Mako's statement, and pondered on about this. He couldn't be sure, but he knew that without Braedey, their plan and the Jaeger Program could be in jeopardy.

With Braedey, he was down in the mess hall of the Shatterdome. He was feeling a little hungry, and he decided to get something to eat.
