I look around the room and it's all I ever see,
One girl after another hiding and never feeling free.
The need to please the outside views to in,
As all that ever matters are the matters of the skin.
If there was only one thing to say,
I'd say that you are beautiful
- I know -
it's terribly cliché.
But in this world the definition of that
is completely skew,
It doesn't matter what you look like,
what matters is that you are you.
Never feeling good enough
should be the last thing on your mind,
So please,
for your sake,
leave the self doubt behind.
And If you don't believe at first, all I want you to know,
Is that you're not the only one who's unable to easily let go.
