The next day, the search continued.  They were now extra alert for motorbikes - everyone was still pretty shaken up. Especially Martha and Bethany, who had each died once already.

They were only still at the beginning of the game and it was already wearing thin on everyone's nerves.

The game, and everyone present.

"We should have a team name."

"Sure, Fridge.  You can think of one to pass the time," grumbled Sawyer.

Despite walking through the trees, said trees didn't provide much cover, so it was very hot in the dense jungle.

"It seems like the game's having us do a level-a-day kind of thing," Spencer observed. "Which kind of makes sense, I guess, as levels are usually spread out in video games. So, yesterday was the motorbikes, and now today is-"

He paused - the trees were thinning ahead.

"Oh thank God! It feels like I'm suffocating!"  Bethany burst through the thinning trees, the others following.  They were on a cliff's edge, and across the cliff's gap they could see gates leading to what looked like a village.

"The Bazaar," Bethany said, reading off of the map, the village materializing on the paper's surface.

"That's our next level," said Spencer.

---------------------------------

The Bazaar level got off to a bit of a rough start.

Okay, a major rough start.

What Sawyer learned from this was to always ask what something was before  you eat it.

But everyone was so hungry by that point that no one was thinking about this. And it led to Fridge eating a piece of pound cake thinking it was bread.

"Cake is one of your weaknesses!" Sawyer reminded him.

"Oh God- uh, i-is something happening to me?" He was panicking.

"No."

"Doesn't look like it..."

"Okay, okay we're fine. It probably just meant that I love cake so much I just couldn't resist it! No need to panic, it's all good-"

BANG!

Everyone was thrown back by a sudden explosion. Really, an explosion? That was a little much.

Chimes overhead, and a scream, signalled Fridge's return.  He fell right through a nearby stall.

"OW! WHAT THE HELL?!"

Spencer helped him to his feet. "I was going to make a point about being discrete, but..."

"Yeah but you also said eat!"

"Rations! Get your rations!" called the man who had given them the cake. Like the rest of the NPCs, he didn't seem to notice the explosion.

"You can shut your ass up!" Fridge snapped back.

"Dr. Bravestone!" A young boy NPC came over to them then. The game carried on, un-phased by the brief character death.  "Thank goodness you're here! Jumanji needs you!"

"Uh, thanks. Good to be here," Spencer replied awkwardly.

"Ask him about the missing piece." Martha nudged Bethany.

"Oh right! Uh, hi kid, I'm Dr. Shelly... Something. I'm a map doctor, and we're trying to find the missing piece."

The boy ignored her, continuing to speak only to Spencer. "Dr. Bravestone! Thank goodness you're here! Jumanji needs you!"
