First time flyers

In the morning shiro came out of the guessed room looking way better than before he then went to the rest of them and asked "when do you want to leave" pidge hunk and Lance had slept over hunk then answered for everyone "after breakfast I'm making waffles and ice team "shiro just nodded before stretching his long black wings with white tips his tail looked the same he was moving his tail side to side signalling he was in a good mood and the scales on his tail seemed to glow a bit which was cool pidge woke up and was in a bad mood at first but when she saw shiro wings she immediately had a sudden change of heart and got excited without moving her body at all so it was just drooping In the air she flew over to shiro shiro then braced himself for questions

And as guessed pidge started yelling questions
"Is it true that Dracos can breath fire?can you guys really not get food poisoning?how far and long can you really fly?how well can you see in the dark?how  big are dragons really?do you get cold being so up high in the sky?why are the Draco in hiding?

Shiro let out a chuckle then started to answer her questions

"Yes some Dracos can breath fire but that's rare about 1/1000 can breath fire and since there is so little of us left I have met only two that can breath fire one one them being Keith

No we cannot get food poisoning our stomachs are special that way but there are some Dracos that are lactose intolerant and we can also eat raw meat and digest bones and some times metal but you end up feeling really heavy afterwords

Dracos can fly for a day to two straight without stopping but it is very tiring and we can fly to about over the clouds me and Keith can fly above the clouds entirely it's very relaxing

Dracos can't see in the dark and have very bad eyesight in that case but we don't need glasses it's about the same as human eyesight which for us is not that good

In our dragon forms we can control wether we want to be the size of an elephant to a whale but we can use an ability that makes us invisible whilst we flying which comes in handy a lot

And yes it is extremely cold in the sky but because we have so much body fat in out dragon forms that we don't mind that much

And finally the last reason we are in hiding because in olden days Dracos were used as transportation and used as animals not as if they had a being we had to fly for days straight without breaks or food and a lot of us would die after the trips just for another one to be sold so we decided to hide from all and I'm breaking so many rules talking to you even if we don't all live together we do not speak to other halflings about us being Draco but I know you are nice and I can trust you guys

Everyone gave shiro a look of compassion from his story and patience with pidge but before they could say anything hunk called them down for breakfast shiro looked like he was enjoying the meal so much almost like he hasn't eaten real food in years that's when it hit them he was trapped by the galra for a year they agreed to go to a galra camp site to help someone they haven't ever met but they decided to not let that stop them after diner they followed shiro to a place unsaid to them so allura decided to speak up

"Shiro where are we going I thought we were going to ride you there"shiro started to blush again then quickly answered her"it's easier to start higher up when flying so we're going to a mountain it helps when letting the dragon glide and start his spell of cloaking"they all then silently followed shiro up the steep and bumpy terrain but for shiro he looked as if he was walking solid ground hunk and pidge were flying leaving allura Coran and Lance to walk to everyone's surprise shiro was also walking they wondered why but of course again Lance was first to ask"why are you walking shiro you have wings right"shiro then responded with"it's more relaxing to walk up a mountain then it is to fly and I'm saving my strength the voyage will talk about a day "

hunk and pidge looked at shiro amazed pidge then said "I can only fly for ten minutes "hunk then added "my records twenty three"shiro then let out a small chuckle they soon made it to the top without realizing it until shiro stopped he then said to everyone"step back for a moment"they did as asked and shiro then started to transform his skin turned from peach to black his eyes turned into slits and he started to grow in size also his head into one of a snake and the wings on his back grew wider and longer along with his tail his, nails turned to giant claws all the scales the colour of his skin were now entirely black a scaly except for the underside of his stomach and tail his head a spot of white in between his ears and his head had turned to the shape of a snakes

He moved his tail around then without moving his mouth said to them "climb on my tail and we will start this trip the all climbed up and held onto his scales for support but they then found a spot which was a little curve in between his back and neck that they decided to stay they all watched as shiro unfolded his wings and took off they were hit with powerful winds and beautiful colours all around before they knew it they were above the clouds looking at a beautiful sunset they all fell asleep when the last sparkle of sunlight disappeared into the clouds the stars were now covering them all around dancing with beauty and grace and just like that shiro fell asleep flying but his body took over still flying directly to their destination
