Finding Myself * Chapter 3 *

It had been little over a month since Erik had left . I was finally able to say his name or sleep in my own bed without crying. I never thought id get over him but i was glad i did . Jayyson was always over and we became extremely close . There was a knock at the door come in i said pulling on a jean skirt and walking into the living room . Jayyson entered with a big smile on his face .

Yes i said as i pulled my hair into a high ponytail. Jayyson grabbed my hand and pulled me to the couch . Alex you know how much he hesitates before leaning in to kiss me . I was taken by his bold actions and pushed him away . What do you think your doing . Jayyson looked at his hands as if to find the right words. Then looked up at me . Alex you know that ive wanted you since met 2 years ago when you almost fell bringing in your matresses . I beg of you to give me a chance . I will not i stood up to walk away . Please alex I didnt want to hear another word of it so i hurried to my room and slammed the door how dare he ask me such a question or do such a thing to me who did he think he was.

I could hear his foot steps coming near the door . Go away i screamed he said nothing at first then he spoke Alex i know that i shouldnt have been so quick to act upon you but i wanted to get to you before any other got to you . Jayyson we could have taken it slow you cant just expect me to automatically jump at the chance to become your girlfriend after

all ive gone through . Alex you dont understand he screamed I dont want to give any other man the chance to get near I lost you the first time im not going to lose you this time when your right in my grasp and all i have to do is reach out and touch you.

No jayyson you cant just reach out and touch me im to far away for anyone to just reach out and touch me . Well alex you dont have to be so distant why cant you juat trust me enough to care , protect , and love you . Because i said the last person i let care, protect and , love me walked all over me . Well im not erik alex so dont compare me to him . I was silent i could feel my face getting hot and cold tears starting to come through the barriers i had built . I didnt know what to say or to do in this situation and i just wanted jayyson to go away . So i remained silent until he finally left . The house vibrated as he slammed the door behind him leaving the house in complete silence .

I thought about going after him but then again i didnt want to lead him on . Why did he have to do this now right when i was coping with everything . I laid there in my bed drifting off to sleep .

I woke up to a hand rubbing my back . I sat up to see jayyson there i could tell he had been crying and I felt sorry for him . I looked at him he hadnt said anything but i could tell he had something on his mind. Jayyson i called he remained silent . Then he looked up at me his hazel eyes empty of all emotion. Jayyson i called again he just stared at me . He opened his mouth to speak and a weak voice came out alex i cant be your friend he said I cant be around you i cant fight for someone who doesnt want me so if you dont want to give us a chance im gone and im not coming back.
