that day, luke didn't write her back. he walked up to her and gave her a hug. not a friendly hug, not a 'i love you' hug. not even a pity hug. it was a 'i've been there' hug. because he has. and he brings her outside and rolls up his sleeve and she does too and their wrists seem to connect and as do their minds and hearts. and in the moment, luke swears that he'd seen himself through her.
