It had been almost three weeks since Valora was taken by the Marine Captain Smoker, and all of us were quite somber, it is law after all for all pirates be executed but no word has reached us of her death. From what Nami said the Marines like to make a big show of executing high bounty pirates, and if she hasn't been executed that means she's being held captive.

All of us were helping get supplies packed away below deck when Zoro came running up to the ship, informing us that Valora was captured by Captain Smoker and we had to leave immediately or risk being caught as well. Kenpachi protested leaving Valora behind and so did I, but I held him down as we set sail.

I hated leaving Valora behind but I saw the logic behind her decision of telling Zoro to run and save us all, Valora made it possible for us to get away and fight another day. I knew how strong is she and that she would some how find a way to escape the Marines, and get back to us one day. I only hope that day wont be too long from now.

This is the path that fate has chosen for Valora and us, now our only choice now is to follow it where ever it may lead us. Who knows where fate takes us now, may it be to our doom or salvation we are slaves to it all no matter how much we may fight it. The fate of the gate keeper is a never ending path, it shall continue as long as time continues forward.

First night on the island went very well, had a nice dinner of fruits and berries, the night air was warm but the nice breeze that blew through my little clearing kept me nice and cool throughout the night. No ships came close to the island or made any hint that they were looking at the island, a small Marine ship sailed by shortly after sunset but paid no mind to my small hideout.

By morning Captain Smoker's ship was still docked at the other island, no doubt searching the island over for me. Looks like staying her for only a day is out of the question, I may be here for at least another two days or more depending on how determined Smoker and his crew is on finding me.
