*Scene starts in front of a Graveyard, full of live oaks with Spanish moss and old gravestones. We see VIRGIL walk up with his backpack slung over one shoulder, he wanders in, first following the shell path, then veering off and crossing towards the oldest part of the Graveyard. VIRGIL takes a seat and leans up against a mausoleum, and pulls his phone out of his bag. He glances over at the wall of the mausoleum, where a black touch screen is embedded to the wall.*

Virgil: That's new...

*Curious, he stands up and walks up to the touch screen, which lights up. The screen reads "DO YOU NEED A HERO?" Two buttons are under it, saying "YES" or "NO"

Virgil: The hell?

*He presses yes, and it takes him to a screen with a keypad a box for text to go in. Above the empty text box it says "Why?"*

Virgil: Really, what the hell is this? It's very elaborate for a prank.

*VIRGIL thinks for a minute, then uses his finger to peck out "because this world is corrupt." He looks satisfied with his answer, thinking he is very deep. As soon as he presses enter, steam pours out from behind the mausoleum. The door slides open with a groan, and a tall person steps out. It's a black woman, over 6 feet tall, and very wide and muscular. She looks about rather young, just over 18. She has cornrows kept in a ponytail by a gold band. She is wearing titanium armor with intricate gold designs of English ivy vines. She carries a large silver sword swung over her shoulder, and is holding a shield matching the make of her armor*

Virgil: *Screams*

*VIRGIL starts to run but the woman in armor grabs him by his backpack and lifts him in the air*

Virgil: *in tears* PLEASE DON'T KILL ME!

Nadine: Kill you? You summoned me.

Virgil: Summoned you?

Nadine: Did you think that this keypad was a prank? You needed a hero, so here I am.

Virgil: *nervously* I did think it was a prank...

Nadine: ARE YOU KIDDING ME? UGH!!!!

*NADINE throws him down and tries to storm back into the mausoleum, but the door is now closed. She tries to open it, but it's of no use. The door won't budge.*

Nadine: CURSES!

*NADINE sits down disappointedly on the ground head in hands, dropping her sword and shield.*

Virgil: I'm sorry, do you, uh.. live in there?

Nadine: no.

Virgil: What? Hold on. Let's start this whole conversation over. *clears throat* Hi, my name is Virgil. What's yours?

Nadine: My name is Nadine, and I am a hero specifically tailored for your needs.

Virgil: What?

Nadine: * glares at VIRGIL and sighs* Ever since humanity has been around, bad things have happened, and people need someone to save them. If a human calls upon a hero at any time, a hero comes, saves that human from peril, and is killed gloriously. Usually we're called upon in prayer; the keypad is a new addition.

Virgil: Ok, so why should I believe you again?

Nadine: Because I'm here, and you called upon a hero, so here I am.

Virgil: Look lady, uh, I don't mean to intrude on your beliefs or whatever, but can you please let me take you to a hospital? My friend Jordan is on their way with a car. We can drive you.

*NADINE leaps up from the ground, sword and shield in hand. She points the sword at VIRGIL*

Virgil: Lady! Please put that thing down! I'm just trying to help!

Nadine: No, and I cannot let you take me to a hospital, for that would intrude on what I have to do for you. When asked, why did your call upon for a hero?

*VIRGIL thinks to the keypad and what he typed.*

Virgil: I said.. I said because the world is corrupt.

Nadine: *she is seething now* You said because the world is corrupt? I can't un-corrupt the world for you! That's impossible! Heroes are meant for simple things! Like killing a monster! Or saving a soldier when his life is threatened! I can't believe this!! Out of all the things I could do!! *she buries her head in her hands*

*All of a sudden, sirens go off in the distance. VIRGIL and NADINE both look towards the noise. Nadine her hand with the sword in it to simultaneously grab VIRGIL's wrist.*

Nadine: You want me to un-corrupt the world? Let's start there, shall we?

*VIRGIL gulps, and NADINE lets go of his wrist. NADINE runs across the graveyard towards the sound. VIRGIL sighs and runs after her.

Virgil: This is a bad bad idea.....
