(mostly a basketball centric chapter but I added some commentary from the girls so I understand if you skim through this chapter)

Tati POV

The game started and it did not start well

Gabe just dunked on Sean and stepped over him and silenced the whole crowd to start the game even Kaycee couldn't say anything as it happened so fast

Unfortunately that was just a small taste of how the game was going

Will just scored another point by stealing the ball from Julian

Leon just got blocked by Josh Cruz and Grant scored the fast break point over Jay

Gabe then stole the ball from Sean and gave the ball to Kenneth with for a one on one against Josh

"This is bad" Kaycee said

"Bad?"

"Each of the starters just got beat in some kind of way except for Josh" Kaycee said

"Yeah it's not looking too good"

"It's just Sean keeps saying Josh is there best defender but if that Kenneth guy gets passed him it's a sign that they can beat anyone on the team" Kaycee said

"How did you learn so much?" I asked as Kaycee was never a sports person

"I learned a lot from Sean and Josh and unlike us before Tahani does know basketball a little so she told me some stuff as well" Kaycee explained

Kenneth was dribbling fast and in a swift movement he got passed Josh going for a layup but Josh recovered and blocked it into Leons hands allowing for a fast break point

Score 2-6

"Good he stopped him" I said exhaling a breath I didn't know I held in

"Yeah but..."

The mood didn't raise as it seems everyone knows Josh recovered barely

"Josh once said that since defense takes a lot of energy it's up to Julian, Leon, and Sean to score most of the teams points when he has to play a lot of defense" Kaycee said to me "And we haven't score a point against any of them yet just off of fast breaks"

Score 6-14

"Sean's having a hard time against Gabe" I commented

"Sean's a smooth and slower player so him going against someone so fast is hard on him" Kaycee said "and literally the opposite is the problem with Julian and Will as Julian who's usually faster is having a hard time against Will"

"Why can't we get the advantage then?" I asked as it seems weird that they're in similar situations but we weren't winning or even cancelling each other out

"They might..." Kaycee said as IDA scored again "be better than us..."

"Come on Sean I thought you were at least a decent player!" Gabe said driving past Sean for the easy layup
