Her parents were high-up. It was probably considered "favorable" for a girl to have that ability, and of course they didn't want her marrying Phineas, so they probably tried to butter her up for other suitors before he came back.
Imagine her at the piano, delicate fingers finding every key without trouble, playing in such a graceful manner that makes it look so effortless.
What if, at their mansion in the movie, they had a piano? (I can't remember for sure if there was one in view.) She'd play for the girls before bed, slow and peaceful and beautiful to lull them asleep. And maybe if Phin were to tell them a story, she'd play a happy, bouncy tune to go along with it, and dark and eerie for suspenseful parts.
For Phin, she'd play slow and romantic tunes as he pressed kisses to her scalp, fingertips ghosting over her skin.
