Georgia and I got ready to go to Justin's place. I still can't believe I was meeting his friend. Why did I agree to this?
This meeting is how it's going to turn out. We'll meet, and the guy will either turn out to be a complete dud or completely overzealous. I was screwed either way.
She pulled into Justin's driveway, and we got out, making our way into his house.
"Justin! We're here!" Georgia yelled.
Justin looked at Dom and said, "Ready?"
"Do I have a choice?"
"Dom, you're going to like her. I promise," Justin said as they walked out of the kitchen. We looked at each other, and our eyes widened as Dominick stopped in his tracks, making Justin confused.
"What's with all the looks?" Justin solicited us.
The three of us looked at each other and sighed. Yep, this evening got better.
*******
Dom's POVI stood there, trying to figure out what I wanted to say.
"Wait, you guys know each other?" Justin asked Dominick and me.
"No, doof. Kami and Dom don't know each other," Georgia said, rolling her eyes. "Of course they know each other," she smacked him.
"Georgia!"
"Well, don't be a dumbass," she huffed.
"Okay, then care to explain things to me."
"Dominick is the new guy at work," she told him.
"And the guy I dance with at the club Friday night," Kami added.
"Oh, well, this isn't awkward whatsoever," he said as Georgia grabbed his hand and dragged him into the kitchen.
We stood there, silent for a few minutes.
"So, Georgia is your sister," he said.
"Yep."
"But you have different last names," he added.
"I have a different father, and she has a different mother. My mom adopted her after our parents got married," she explained.
"And that makes Mr. Stevens your dad," he said.
"Yep."
"Oh, boy."
"Then there's my real dad, Ben, and his partner Rob who is also my dad. They're also Georgia and Noah's dads," she said casually.
Whoa, that's a lot to learn about someone.
"So, how do you know Justin?" She asked.
"We grew up together along with Davis and Kai," he explained.
"Huh. Interesting," Kami said, looking around the living room.
I stood there, not knowing what to say. How come it was so easy to talk to Kami at work, but now, it felt uncomfortable.
"It's funny."
"What is?" I asked.
"Georgia has been after me to meet Justin's friend forever. I kept saying no," she said as she casually strolled towards me. "I figured there must be something wrong with him," she added as she got closer to me. "Funny, it turns out to be you." She was standing in front of me with her hand on her hip and pointing her finger at me.
"Interesting because I thought something was seriously wrong with Justin's girlfriend's sister. I figured there had to be if she needed to set up with a guy."
