Chapter Twenty-Five: Don't Get Me Wrong

Ever since their meeting with Damien and Christina, Cristiano had done everything in his power to make sure that Isabelle knew that he cared for her; the couple had grown closer since the meeting and now they were preparing to do their quickstep for the live show.

Isabelle licked her lips as she ran a hand through her hair; she knew that Cristiano was a little nervous about tonight’s the show.

“It’ll be okay,” Isabelle said as she felt Cristiano wrap his arms around her waist, she smiled as he kissed her neck softly as he pulled her close to his chest.

“I know… I’m just worried about what will happen when we are eliminated,” Cristiano said as he kissed down her neck, the blonde knew that he was worried that they wouldn’t renew her contract when it ended.

Isabelle sighed as she turned to face Cristiano, she kissed his lips softly as his hands moved down her blue/purple dress; he held her close until one of the make-up ladies cleared their throats annoyed at the fact that he was messing up Isabelle’s make-up.

Cristiano chuckled as he looked at the make-up lady while the red head moved away from him; he knew that they were forever annoyed with him now that they were publically dating.

“I will be out in a minute,” Isabelle said as she moved to allow the make-up artist to put the finishing touches to her make-up; Cristiano chuckled as he nodded his head before he left to prepare for their next dance, not only that but they also had a Swing-a-thon to compete in later in the show.

Stepping out onto the dance floor for their quickstep, Isabelle smiled as she linked arms with Cristiano as they got into their first position; they were dancing to Don’t Get Me Wrong by the Pretenders.

Isabelle grinned as she glanced at Cristiano as the music started up, the two of them made their way down the steps before Isabelle twirled around and dipped slightly before she moved to flick her leg behind her before she dipped again and moved into the first hold.

The couple glided smoothly across the floor, as they started their quickstep; Cristiano was surprised how easy he had found the dance in training; he knew that he couldn't let Isabelle down.

The couple covered every inch of the floor as they did their quickstep, they moved with grace as they did the foot work; the couple twirled along the dance floor knowing that tonight was a different for all their other dances.

It didn't take long for them to complete their routine Cristiano kissed Isabelle’s lips as they ended the dance; the crowd cheering for them as they walked toward Pilar, who smiled at the couple as they joined her.

“Uh… you have a lazy left foot, by that I mean it’s slightly pigeon toed; but that is all I could find wrong with that routine,” Víctor said making Cristiano frown as Isabelle wrapped her arm around her boyfriend knowing that he wasn’t likely to take that well.

“You had a straight back, wide elbows, great movement, lovely sway, I think you did brilliantly,” Boris said making Isabelle smile as she felt Cristiano pull her close; he had worked hard on this routine and he knew that this competition meant everything to Isabelle.

“My favourite moment as a judge is to sit back, relax and enjoy the show, that was outstanding,” Aída said nodding at the couple; she smiled at them for a moment as Isabelle glanced at Cristiano, she knew that this would make him happy and that things couldn't have gone better for them.

“Cristiano, a tremendous show; it was polished, detailed, elegant, sophisticated, you were moving beautifully and you can sway,” Santi said completing the judges’ comments before Pilar smiled at the couple before she dismissed them to the lounge.

Cristiano drew Isabelle close as they waited for the results, he licked his lips nervously as he felt her nudge her head against his in comfort before the results were announced.

Stepping out onto the dance floor with the last remaining couples, Cristiano smiled as he admired Isabelle’s second outfit; she was wearing a pink top and skirt with white shoes for the Swing-a-thon.

They had received their highest score to date for their quickstep, something that had thrilled Cristiano to no end; he hadn't expected to receive a thirty nine for their dance.

The couple looked at Boris, who was waiting to tell the contestants the rules for the Swing-a-thon.

“Whoever stays swinging the longest will be given the maximum score of seven points to add to their current scores, the first couple to be eliminated will score one,” Boris said making Isabelle shift nervously as Cristiano drew her close; this was the dance that he wasn’t looking forward to.

The song for the Swing-a-thon was Chattanooga Choo-Choo; Cristiano led Isabelle into the open space as they prepared for their dance, the two had a small routine worked out and they knew that it was going to be a quick dance.

This was the eighth week of competition and there were only seven members left in the competition with three live shows remaining; that meant that there were five dances left until the final.

The music started and each of the couple’s started their routines, Isabelle and Cristiano knew that this was the first time that there was any proper competition between any of the pairs.

“Nani Gaitan and Adam Jones,” the announcer said as the first couple left the dance floor, Cristiano swallowed nervously as he and Isabelle continued on with their routine, it was the first time that he had done anything like this.

“Belén Esteban and Ethan Nicolas, por favor leave the dance floor,” the announcer said again, Isabelle and Cristiano continued doing their twist, lifts and turns; they knew that they could only do their best at this since they already had high score from their quickstep.

“Nicolette Diaz and Manolo Sarria, por favor leave the dance floor,” the announcer said making another couple leave the floor; with only four couples remaining there was a little more room on the dance floor for them to move about.

“Nath-Sakura and Michel Santos, por favor leave the dance floor,” the announcer said, Cristiano was a little surprised that he and Isabelle had made it this far; he knew that there was a lot riding on the Swing-a-thon.

“Rosa López and Daniel Garcia, por favor leave the dance floor,” the announcer said making the last two couple’s spread out a little more as they used the space that they now had; the judgers prepared to eliminate the final couple.

“Manuel Bandera and Iveta Lukosiute, por favor leave the dance floor,” the announcer said making the Russian huff as she lead her dance partner off the floor while she glared over at Isabelle and Cristiano.

“That means that Cristiano Ronaldo and Isabelle Swanson are our winners,” the announcer said making Isabelle sigh in relief as Cristiano drew her into a hug; they were exhausted from dancing and couldn't wait to return home, so that they could rest.
