Mother, a graceful word
A powerful word
The word which saves you
From emotional damage
When hard times occur.
She sweeps you under her wing
And takes care of you
She loves you.
Mothers are heroes.
They save their loved ones
At the last minute.
And hold them in their arms.
She holds you and cradles you
In her arms.
She sings you to sleep,
She loves you.
What is a mother?
Mother Nature?
Calm, like the ocean,
Soft spoken, like the wind.
She is everything to you
And to me.
She fights your battles,
Just like fire.
She blows the past behind her,
Like thin air.
She adores you.
She loves you.
What do mothers do?
She tucks you in at night.
She has the best personality:
Graceful but tough
And prepared to fight
In emotional wars.
She is stern and strong,
But kind and caring.
She adores you.
She loves you.
From child to teenage years
Always worries
And always cares.
Her tears when you fly away
Are like raindrops evaporating
Into nothingness.
She feels the sorrow,
She feels it sinking in
Like a heavy ship.
She feels forgotten.
But she still loves you.
