Bruce didn't waste any time digging into his coat pocket and taking out the recording device. He had gotten every bit of his exchange with Jack on tape and now he would produce it as evidence to the chief. It would normally be used against Jack but he knew there was barely anything that could even land Jack in cuff's. He was acting different. On purpose.
Bruce walked silently into the commissioners office and shut the door, giving the man sitting with his back turned a fright.
"Ah, Bruce. I should have known, you're the only one who manages to sneak up on me," Gordon said holding his chest.
Normally Bruce would usually chuckle at such remarks but today all he did was throw a tape recorder on the commissioners desk.
"It was fruitless. He knows who i am," Bruce said as the commissioner started playing the tape, revealing Jack's and Bruce's exchange. With a sigh, he looked up.
"He knows you're Batman?...Couldn't get him to crack, huh?" Gordon asked.
"Not in the slightest. We have to start playing our cards right from this point forward. Who knows what he might be planning." Bruce explained.
"Well, according to his initial goals, they don't differ much from The Joker's, who also wanted to take over the city." Gordon said.
"That's what I wanted to talk to you about...There's something about Jack. He claims he's sane but there's a spark in his eyes..I can't explain it. I need to keep an eye on him." Bruce said.
"Well you can't take the nutjob out of a guy, no matter who they are. It's funny you bring that up actually, we just got word about a rally taking place tomorrow evening right outside of city hall. His 'representatives' organized it but really, they're just the hoodlums he'd do business with back when he was the Joker. I've ordered for a heavy police presence, and of course you, Batman," Gordon said, lifting his brow. "In the shadows, of course."
"A rally? For what?" Bruce asked.
Gordon sighed and rubbed his eyes.
"For the resignation of the commissioner of police, and the arrest of Batman."

"Batman?" Harleen's eyes were wide as she felt her entire body tremble. She felt as if she had been lied to her entire life.
Jack nodded, looking around at his men.
He had managed to calm down shortly after his outburst. Though the Joker was more readily taking over him, he was in turn able to take back the reigns. For now, at least.
"Surprised?" He asked dully.
"Yes...no. I don't know." Harleen sighed.
"Hey boss," a bearded, pudgy man walked in with sheets of papers. "I was able to set up that rally for tomorrow you requested. Should I make the announcement?"
Jack nodded, sending several men off at once.
"Rally?" Harleen asked.
"Tomorrow night. City Hall. I figured we might as well get our supporters together and move forward with our plans." He said, looking down at his hands. "It doesn't seem like I can wait for another few weeks, anyway. This has to be done. I need immunity. Jack needs immunity."
Harleen's heart began to pound against her chest.
"Don't...don't talk like that..you're not leaving me.." She spoke in a low voice, feeling the sick combination of anger and sadness course through her. "YOU'RE NOT LEAVING ME!" She slammed her wrists on the table as tears streamed down her cheeks.
