Let's just pretend we're in love,
Lay out all the flaws you and I both have,
Dig deeper into every part of me nobody had ever seen,
Let's exchange words we both will never mean.

Let's pretend we're intertwined,
That I am yours, and you are mine—
Where my darkness converges with your light,
Where you make the spark in me ignite.

This doesn't mean anything,
So let me love you lying,
This doesn't make any sense,
So let's just let our hearts be dense.

Tell me how you got all your broken pieces back,
And I'll exchange to you everything you lack,
Glue me up to a whole,
Make me fall in love like a fool.

Let's just pretend we are beyond time,
That I can hold your hand with infinity's approval,
I'll let the words cascade down to every rhyme,
This is an agreement abstained of refusal.

Let's pretend we can withstand the thunderstorms of deceit,
Where we're both unfinished puzzles that need each other to be complete,
Drown me in the uncertainty of your promised forever,
And we'll see how much of destiny we can alter.

Let's pretend this is all pretend,
And wait for forever to end,
We both know we're lying that we're lying,
Because we both know love's a game we're both playing.
