Y/N P.O.V

After that encounter with the author, we were engulfed in a comfortable silence. I drove to Starbucks first to get ourselves a drink and for me, a donut, cause I was hella hungry. Then we got caught up for 5 minutes on the drive through because Camila insisted that she paid while I did likewise.

I let her pay for it because there was literally a man outside my window asking if I was gonna move anytime soon. But I'm not gonna let that happen, I slipped the money in the pocket of her jacket while she was searching for her wallet.

Now, we are on the road again. I decided to take her to where we first met, the mall. But it isn't a mall anymore. They kinda renovated it into a small park but the most amazing thing is, the bench where me and Camila introduced ourselves was still there. Same spot, same bench. How do I know? I may or may not have been scratching the bottom of the bench while I was talking to Camila.

I was kinda nervous but at the same time and I wanted a reminder. I didn't have gum to stick it at the bottom of the bench that time and even if I did, my mom wouldn't let me. Thank God for long nails at the time.

"Wait, why does this road look familiar?" Camila said while glancing at my tinted windows to the dark surroundings.

"Are you planning on killing me? Or maybe even kidnapping me? Because Cadwell,(this is your surname now since I'll be using it for future chapters) you are doing a damn fine job of setting the mood." She rambled.

"Camila, will you just shut your mouth for like, a second?" I replied because her rambling is really getting on my nerves although it is cute.

"I won't shut up until you tell me where we're going." She retorted with a challenging smirk.

I huffed before stopping abruptly and looked at her in the eye. Her eyes widened at the sudden action and leaned back on the seat.

"Hold on, Cabello." I said before speeding up making Camila hold on my arm tightly and at the same time grasping the door's handle.

"Slow down, Y/N! We're gonna get pulled over!" She warned while still clinging onto my arm like her life depended on it, which it is.

I then pressed the brake which sent Camila flying but I held her down with my arm since the seatbelt wasn't enough.

"Holy-- Y/N! You could've killed me there!! You jerk. How can you even drive like that?" She asked while clutching her heaving chest.

"I used to go to drag races a long time ago, then I got bored. Nothing special." I exclaimed like it was nothing.

"Wha- How come I don't know that?"

"Cause you never paid attention."

"Hey, I said I was sorry..." She said with a pout that no one can really resist.

"Yeah, I know. Anyways, let's get out of this car!" She shouted out with enthusiasm as she made her way to my side and opened the door.

"Hmm, boyfriend material..." Camila said as she bit her lip while looking at me.

"I know I am." I then made the bold move of placing my hands on her waist in which she stiffened to but relaxed eventually.

"Cadwell, what are you doing?" She questioned as I lifted her up to my shoulders and picked her up just like how I made her come with me here.

She giggled as she kept on punching my back playfully then eventually stopped when I slapped her butt which elicited a moan from her.

After a minute of walking to the bench she spoke up, breaking the comfortable silence that engulfed us.

"Is this the mall? Well, not technically...I mean the mall that was renovated into a park?" She asked while hanging from my shoulders.

"Yup." I answered simply since there isn't really anything I can say further.

I then spotted the bench and plopped her down. The exact spot where we introduced ourselves.

After a few seconds of sitting down, she suddenly giggled.

"What's so funny?" I asked, puzzled.

"When we met, you couldn't even say the letter 'L'. It was honestly cute." She teased as she continued laughing.

"Hey! I don't know why I can't but atleast you confessed that it was cute so...I guess that'll do." I said while smiling goofily.

She then cupped my cheek and pinched them.

"You're so damn cute." She said as she matched my smile.

--------------------------------------------------------------

We spent the evening by talking about random things. When I confessed, she kinda kept her distance and I thought I just dropped a bomb on our friendship but I'm thankful that I put it back on track by helping her dance and stuff.

But I'm also wondering why she can't just like me. I wasn't thinking when I asked her.

"Is there any chance that you'd be mine?" I suddenly said out of the blue.

She snapped her head towards me and sighed deeply.

"You know, Y/N. I don't even know if I'm still straight. Because, let's be real here, you can turn any girl gay. And I don't know if I can come out to my parents. But all I know is, I don't even know why I put that stupid limit. And I get jealous when you're with someone else--"

"Wait, you get jealous?" I asked as the grin on my face practically gets wider for every word she says.

"Y/N! That's not the point!" She frustratedly said.

I then nodded my head for her to continue.

"But I know deep inside, Y/N...I- I like you too." She finished.

I just smiled at her and leaned my head closer.

"So does this mean that I can finally date you?" I said straight to the point.

She giggled and nodded her head and scrunched up her nose cutely.

I then jumped up and yelled 'Hell yeah!' Then I turned to Camila that had a wide smile on her face.

"I need to celebrate." I told her. She looked at me confused. I then got my phone and put on 'Say You Won't Let Go' then invited her to dance.

I can say that she improved her dancing the past few weeks. She would always ask me if there's a new choreography that I could teach her, then she'd give me those puppy eyes whenever I would insist on teaching her tomorrow and who am I to resist?

"May I have this dance?" I extended my hand to her and started dancing since she already knows this choreo. Then it started raining which only added to the moment but we didn't care and continued dancing, then we came to the slow part of the song and swayed our bodies slowly. (The first part of the video only)

"Hey Y/N?" She asked.

I hummed in response.

"This is my personal favorite." She said as she turned around and faced me.

"What'dya mean?" I asked back.

"This dance because of the fact that you're carrying me." She confessed.

I just chuckled because mostly anyone can carry Camila. After a minute of dancing in the rain, she started leaning in. I was frozen in place and let her do the work. She then kissed my cheek that sent butterflies to my stomach.

She giggled at my reaction and started heading back to my car with a little sway added, I raced towards her and wrapped my arm around her petite body to keep her warm.

We changed into our extra clothes since I didn't want my seats getting wet. After that little experience, we drove home with our hands intertwined.
