Adjusting

Abril's POV

We walked upstairs to my room and he put up my curtain. He looked out the window and said

"What don't tell me this is your room."

I responded with my arms crossed

"Yes this is my room why do you ask?"

He pointed at the window across mine that was next door. He said

"That's my room."

I puffed out air and got closer to his to grab the collar of his muscle shirt. He rolled his eyes and said

"Sorry sweet-heart but I'm not interested in you or seeing you naked."

I snapped

"Oh please stop lying but know if you ever tell my grandma about what happened at your garage I will kill you."

He rolled his eyes and said

"I won't hit a girl and I'm not really scared of a brunette like you. So wake up little princess because this is reality."

I could hear grandma's footsteps coming up the stairs. Calum and I shut up. I whispered

"Listen my grandma clearly wants us to be friends so I'll only be nice to you around her. And we ignore each other for the other times."

He nodded and he left my room. Well thank god that's over.

2 Days Later

I woke up early and did my regular school routine. I was about to put on my contacts but I couldn't find them. Please don't tell me I forgot them back in the US. I ran downstairs to mama and asked

"Do you have my contact because I can't find them."

She said

"Ohh Abril we must've left them back in the USA. Just use your glasses."

I said

"Mama I look like a geek with them."

She didn't answer me and I just headed to my room to get ready. I put on my foundation and concealer then my eyeliner and my face was ready. I put my hair in a French braid and put on the uniform. A white shirt and a black skirt with black shoes. The last thing that was needed was my ruby necklace that my grandfather gave me before he died. So granddad I'm living in your house. Never thought I would ever come to your house in Sydney. I wiped away a tear that I couldn't contain. I rushed to eat breakfast and then Calum came running in the house. He asked

"Is Abril ready?"

I said as I took my last spoon from my bowl of cereal.

"Why do you want to know?"

Grandma said

"Abril Calum is taking you to school until your mother gets a car and a job."

Well that's great... I finished and Calum took me to his car. It was decent but Tom's car was better. He opened the door and buckled my seat belt and said

"Sorry but since you act like a princess your grandma told me to treat you like a princess. Do you want some Starbucks to?"

I rolled my eyes and he closed the door and got in on the drivers side. The car ride was silent but I caught him staring at me. But I didn't say anything about it. And when we got to school, he opened the door for me. He carried my bookbag even though I told him I could carry it myself. I said

"I can do the rest myself."

He shook his head and said

"Your grandma told me to show you around and kinda help you but I'm only doing this for the first day that's all."

He took me to the office and turns out we have all the classes together.

Art (6th Period)

I got into the art room and talked the art teacher. She assigned my seat next to a quiet attractive guy with brown curls. As I took my seat he smiled at me. I smiled back at him. He said after the teacher assigned us our assignment

"Hello love I'm Tyler Ellis and you are?"

OMG he had a British accent. Totes adorable. I said

"I'm Abril Nelson. Nice to meet you."

He said with a smirk

"You're beautiful. We should kik or snapchat each other."

I blushed and just nodded. Calum came over and said

"Listen Tyler, Mrs. Wilson told us to draw a female dog not to talk to a bitch."

As I was about to say something to Calum Tyler said

"Well we are suppose to draw a beautiful thing. And well I'm trying to understand this beautiful thing known as Abril. Hmmm Abril what a beautiful name. Abril is April in Spanish and like April she has pure beauty."

Calum gagged in disgust but I blushed at Tyler's remark. He is so deep and so hot and so tall. Hmmmmm Tyler Ellis and Abril Ellis. Tyler continued to talk to me while we worked on our project. Well I just stared at his beauty as he drew me. He only drew the shape of my face but yet I could tell he was an artist.

Lunch

I walked over to the table with the cool kids. I could tell because they had the best table in the middle and the girls swirled their hair as they talked. Calum with his glasses walked up to me and said as he was stoping me

"You sure you wanna do that. Just because you were popular before doesn't mean you will be popular here."

I glared at him until he let me pass through. I said

"Umm can I sit with you guys?"

I noticed Tyler was in the group. He said

"Sure beautiful."

I smiled but a girl put her purse on the spot I was going sit. She had long blonde hair and blue eyes but you could tell that she was a bitch just by the way she sat and chew her gum. She said

"Sorry we don't let anyones sit with us."

I rolled my eyes

"Well they let you sit with them so the standards are low."

She stood up and was as short as me. Tyler got up as well and wrapped his arms around me

"You sure you wanna mess with Abril, Rachel? You sure because I'll rather have Abril here then you."

She yelled

"Well she better go eat outside because this is my daddy's school and I don't want her here."

Tyler whispered

"Don't worry tomorrow you can sit here. And she will be stuck outside in the heat."

I just walked away to avoid trouble on my first day. I looked around for an empty table and walked to it. But as I was about to sit down Calum came running with the two blonde haired guys from before. The blued eyed guy with blonde hair said

"Hey lads that girl from before wants to sit here."

I looked around to find another empty table but there was any. I sat down as I rolled my eyes. And to make things worse the only seat empty was next to Calum.
