Chapter 7: Kidnapped

Reiko's POV:

I woke up in darkness. I was sitting upright with my knees up to my chest. My hands were bound tightly behind my back, my feet were tied as well and both ropes seemed to be tied to  metal rings in the floor. I desperately tried to focus my vision in order to see where I was, but it was just too dark. I could hear crying, women shouting and the sound of clanging metal.

I knew I was likely in a cage. Whoever did this was smart, they knew if they put more than one person in a cage then we could help untie each other.

Now that I had all of this information to work with, I had to find out if Temari was here in another cage.

Reiko: "Temari? Temari are you here?"

Temari: "Reiko!? Yes I'm here, I'm in a cage tied up!"

Reiko: "Me too, are you okay? Are you hurt?"

Temari: "I'm okay, these ropes are just rough.  Can you see anything?"

Reiko: "I can't see anything, I have a plan. Just sit and wait for me."

Temari: "Okay, not like I can do much else."

When Temari mentioned the ropes roughness, it gave me an idea. Not many people knew this, but I could do ninjutsu using only one hand.

I began twisting my hands which were tied behind my back. Rubbing the rope against my raw wrists was painful but I had to do it. I finally had my hand in the right postion and after building up my courage, I gave it a sharp snatch. This action dislocated my wrist and I could hardly keep myself from passing out as I cried out in pain. This was my plan however and now I could remove one of my hands with ease.

Temari: "Reiko!? Is that you, are you okay!?"

I ignored her in order to continue executing my plan and focus on not passing out. Who knew when our captor would come back, I had to hurry. Unfortunately because of the metal ring the rope was tied to at a distance, I couldn't free my other hand. It was still firmly tied down and because my feet were tied to the floor, I couldn't position my body to untie either.

I weakly lifted my freed hand to my mouth and using it to create leverage I popped my wrist back into place. I felt immediate relief, but I knew this was only a temporary fix. Most dislocated limbs will dislocate again, I had to be careful.

Biting my thumb until it bled, I then made the hand signs for summoning jutsu. I could summon more than just barriers, I also had a summons animal. As soon as I placed my palm against the frigid cage floor, my summon appeared.
