Devante
When I woke up, I heard voices downstairs. I slip on some slippers and went down. I seen my mom and Dalvin talking. Once they see me, they stopped talking.

"Um morning guys" I looked at both and they mumble a good morning.

"Devante sweetie, can you sit at the table with us?" She said sweetly and patted the seat. I hesitate to sit down but I did. She cleared her throat and look at Dalvin once again. Something was up and I just know it. Dalvin sigh and looked over to me.

"Devante, w-we gotta y'all about your habits" he rub the back of his neck, not even once glance my way.

"What you mean, my habit? I've been clean for months" I was confused and that was a statement. How dare these people throw up my habit like that

"Baby we just want to be there for you" She rub my arms

I got up from the table and went to the front door. They was screaming my name out and I couldn't deal with this shitty family no more. I slam the front door and went to my car. I slam the door and started banging on the steer wheels. Why me god? Why do I have to be the angry, useless and a addict man.

___
I pulled at my friend Tyler house. I cut the engine off. I sigh and grip my shirt. I close the doors and head for the white door. I knock and couples seconds, he answered.

"H-hey D-Devante, l-long time" Tyler was drunk and it's only 9:45 a.m. I walk pass him and seen some old friends. They said hi and I said hi back. I sat down on the old ragged couch and waited for Tyler to bring out the stuff. He lined the white substance in front of me. I sniffed the cocaine and shake my head. I lay back on the couch and thought about my life.

Nobody will understand me
